comparative worst performances

I would imagine the Souness team of Feb 2006 and the current side would play out a drab 0-0 draw.

Both equally bad. The amazing thing is, we now have Duff, Milner and a (supposedly) fast Martins, yet still look one of the most pedestrian sides in the league.

I watched Arsenal today and if they play like that when we go to the Emirates then we'll be humiliated. At least Reading had a bit of fight about them. This current side toss in the towel, the minute they go behind.

under souness at his worst. ****ing shocking :wullie:

Souness at it's worst...

Given; Carr, Babayaro, Boumsong, Taylor; Solano, N'Zogbia, Emre, Parker; Shearer, Ameobi

Roeder...

Given; Carr, Babayaro, Moore, Taylor; Milner, Duff, Emre, Parker, Martins, Ameobi

I'd rather have the former.

For fucks sake, we were bad but saying its worse than Souness is laughable. At least we have some width and pace with Roeder, with two wingers trying to get down the line, instead of playing 4 central midfielders.

it's not the improvment that we were led to believe that we'd get though.

Agreed completely mate. He's undone all the good stuff that he did last season. But its not worse than under Souness.

Where's this improvement in terms of width? Babayaro & N'Zogbia down the left with Carr & Solano down the right, p*sses on Ramage & Duff on the left and Carr & Milner down the right.

The football might not be worse but out current situation probably is because very few, if any, think we can attract a better manager if Roeder goes.  When Souness was here most felt that we could.

If we are comparing Souness' worst days then it has to be Ramage and Ameobi down the left with Carr and no-one down the right, as SOlano would be playing inside for the whole match. sounds more like you are comparing souness at his best to roeder at his worst. so yes, flintoff is right.
