Would certainly take crouch to replace Viduka and Coloccinni alongside Faye in centre half would be an improvement.

I don't really get the anti-Crouch brigade tbh. He's scored plenty of goals in the Premier League, the Champions League and at Interntional level, and at times he's unplayable. It's a  bit of a no-brainer for me this one.

Its because he'd look abyssmal in vertical stripes. But in all seriousness i wouldnt be thrilled or devastated if signed him, hes a good target-man and for around 8 million i think he'd be a solid, if unspectacular, buy.

i would have crouch, i also dont understand the anti crouch brigade.

based on his inconsistency of a few seasons ago imo

in the last two he's looked sharp every time i've seen him and is good at exactly the things we need a player to do in the viduka role of 3 up top

The problem with signing crouch  is that we know what we're getting, it's not exactly an inspirational indication of a club moving forwards, nor is it taking a calculated risk on an highly-rated youtube-tastic foreigner (which is always uber exciting imo).

Basically its just boring, id much prefer we signed a player like gomis despite the fact that i've seen him play only a handful of games.

Aye, but maybe that's where we've been going wrong...

I think he survives by hardly ever getting a game. If he played regularly  he would get smashed up by premiership centre halves and spend the best part of his time injured.

Leave well alone I say.

while i see the romantic sentiment of going for the unknown wonder kid, its been a good few seasons since we could afford to take that option imo

have to admit this is my only concern about him, i wonder if he's benfitted from only getting a cameo role, although signing someone who still has that much desire to perform when he's constantly snubbed sounds good
