SUPERTOON
Im sure this paper has also reported he has a release clause of around 12 million so how could we possibly sell him for 15?
Guest Heneage
Can't see this getting past 3 pages, its utter BS, neither wants to leave the other. I'm sick of this whole "We have no money" Ashley wouldn't buy a club if he was going to put no major investment in.

I'm sick of this whole "We have no money" Ashley wouldn't buy a club if he was going to put no major investment in. exactly, and we did make bids for woodgate in january and we did offer 20 million for modric the only club that have spent anything decent are arsenal, spurs and chelsea
TRon
The story is written by Brian MackemNally, a sworn Red and White cunt. Obviously the news that we are ready to take Evans from their filthy grasp has hit where it hurts
Mike
If you add up the bids for Modric and Woodgate, isn't that already more than 20 million?

Syrette
The Sun. Shaun Custis. Unnamed source. How many times will they print the same tedious story? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article1356124.ece ARSENAL are ready to make a move for Newcastle striker Obafemi Martins — if Emmanuel Adebayor is sold. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has long admired Martins, 23, but will not pay the £15million the Toon want. Even if Adebayor is sold for £30m to Barcelona or AC Milan, Wenger will not change his £11m valuation of Martins. The Nigerian’s contract has a £13m release clause and that can be triggered if he asks for a transfer. Newcastle have told Martins’ advisors he can go for the right price and Arsenal have let it be known they are interested. Martins agreed a new £80,000-a-week contract on Tyneside but the club did not complete the paperwork and the offer has been withdrawn. A Martins source said: “It is a shock Newcastle cannot find the money any more for his new deal but he is a player a lot of clubs want.” Adebayor’s future is still in doubt. He said he was staying at Arsenal then insisted the club should accept a good offer for him. At the weekend he said he wanted the £120,000-a-week Thierry Henry was paid. Decky
That story is an absolute farce. So Arsenal are "ready" to make a swoop for Martins? BUT wont pay the money we want? So you could they are infact NOT ready to make a swoop. Also we want 15mill when he has a 13mill clause? Also Wenger wont pay more than 11 mill when for another 2 mill Martins is his? What a load of fucking garbage.

Swissmag
£15m would be a fantastic price for the blundering idiot. Think, nearly £18m for Shola and Martins. Wonderful business. Lets hope both find the exit soon. Blundering Idiot?

What a load of fucking garbage. Martins has to put a transfer request in first, which means he's not entitled to his pay off if we sell him. Arsenal enquire, so we say £15m. They can't buy him for £13m because Martins hasn't asked to go. A lot of this comes from the Adebayor story, but speaking to Arsenal fans this weekend there's no way he's leaving, so it's a none starter anyway. Shearergol
Continues to string them along though, doesn't he? Amazingly, there have actually been quote from him in the press (unlike most stories!). He's basically saying that if Arsenal can make enough money on him he'd like to try playing in another league, but if the offer isn't good enough for Arsenal he's staying put. nobby_solano
if we were going to sell, which aint gonna happen he's well worth more than £15m if arsenal are trying to get £30m for adebayor, cheeky bastards.
