Guest Kevlaar
I just can't see any board sanctioning a transfer for him at the moment. Think the only way we'll get rid is by ripping up his contract.

The Toon striker spent deadline day holed up in a hotel halfway between the north-east and west midlands waiting for his move to go through, but it could not be completed because Liam Ridgewell’s transfer in the opposite direction did not materialise. Brum are still keen despite the fact Ranger, 20, was arrested in Newcastle last weekend on suspicion of assault. The Magpies made an inquiry for Rangers’ Croatian striker Nikica Jelavic and will try to sign him again in January.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle-united/2011/09/04/nufc-block-loan-move-for-striker-nile-ranger-79310-29358627/ NUFC block loan move for striker Nile Ranger Sep 4 2011 by Mark Douglas, Sunday Sun TOON outcast Nile Ranger has been told he will not be allowed to leave St James’ Park on loan this winter. Ranger was on the brink of leaving United on Wednesday. Birmingham and Leeds both made approaches but they were blocked by the club, who will only sanction a loan switch if it comes with the option to buy. Newcastle value Ranger at around the £1.5million mark and none of his suitors, who includes Millwall and Blackpool, were prepared to stump up that sort of cash. However, with Alan Pardew ordering him back to the reserves and unprepared to play the striker at the moment, it was assumed a loan move would be the best way forward for a player stagnating in the reserves. It appears that is not the case, though, with Toon chiefs making it very clear Ranger will only be allowed to leave on a temporary basis if it is certain to lead to a permanent exit. Now Ranger faces the prospect of battling his way back through the reserves – if there is any way for him to get back into the first- team picture after upsetting the club with a series of misdemeanours. The forward’s representatives were summoned to St James’ Park on Monday to assess the situation, and they were told a loan move would not be given the green light. Contact with Birmingham on Wednesday’s deadline day centred around a possible swoop for Liam Ridgewell, with Ranger thrown into the mix as a makeweight. His agent Nick Rubery admitted to the Sunday Sun: “United have made it clear there will be no movement. “It is frustrating for Nile he will not get that opportunity, but it is not up to him or us. “He just has to get on with the situation and work hard.”

Sifu
Eh? Why the f*** would't we let him go out on loan? We probably want to get rid of him permanently. With a loan and with Birmingham's financial situation, there's possibly no guarantee that we would get rid of them in the long term. Having said that, a loan deal would be decent enough atm (just get him away from the club!)
