STM
Valencia have tied down his contract for insurance reasons, we did the same with Viana and Krul before sending him out on loan. This means that they are in the driving seat should anyone bid for him. Happens all the time. If they REALLY wanted to keep him long term, they would not have sent him out on loan. It's not like he's a teenager, who's learning his trade.
afar
I'm not really very comfortable with this deal unless we have an option to buy at the end. Totally agree, this is a baffling one for me, i just can't work it out for either valencia or ourselves.
LooneyToonArmy
I can't find him on youtube, only videos of the left back with the same name. Anyone help? Type Ignacio Gonzalez Danubio
KaKa
I'm not really very comfortable with this deal unless we have an option to buy at the end. As has been said a zillion times. Valencia apparently owned some of his rights all along and only recently bought them outright. This might have been due to the fact we showed interest in the player and so they wanted tomake more of a profit. I'm pretty sure he is being brought in on loan initially, because we want to ensure he adapts to the league as he hasn't had too much experience in Europe yet. The guy was part owned by Danubio and Valencia. Valencia are in financial shit. They decided to buy the other half of him in order to send him out on loan, so that when he returns he may command a fee, as they need the money. We have decided to be the side that loan's him out as he ticks alot of the boxes. In order to protect their investment they have made him sign a four year deal, before going out on loan. Next year if he impresses, Valencia can get a healthy figure and we may be able to get a good player that we have had a chance to look at.

People are getting it mixed up with the Rossi style loan signing. Where we are effectively getting used by another club to develop their youngster. No i fucking haven't read the thread, i'm hardly likely to go through 12 pages of the usual shit, just looked at the last page. It's still a very very strange deal, no matter how you try to explain it. Hardly the news i was expecting to be greeted with, when i woke up, lets hope the day gets a little better. LiquidAK
Sounds like the midfield creative player we all wanted. KK must read these forums, so far we've got a young target man striker, and a creative central midfielder.

I'm sorry jon but there is a little bit of a difference between players of the pedigree of Tevez and Maschareno, than there are with an obscure uruaguyian international. He might turn out to be a world beater, then this deal will be a great one but at the moment forgive me for not getting all moist at the prospect of another loanee, i've never heard of. I hate loan deals, they have never worked out for NUFC, the two decent ones we had Saha and Distin, were not secured and the rest have been a pile of crap.
