Shearer sacked as club ambassador? NUFC say not...

Recommended Posts

It is not known if Shearer's Bar, which was boycotted by the vast majority of fans on Saturday who would normally fill it, will undergo a name change.

Ashley's?

Wise's?

Cockney's?

Would like to see Shearer as chairman.

So Wise isn't qualified enough to be a Director of Football running above a manager, but Shearer is qualified enough to run the whole club.

F*cking hell man.

Wonder what Sir John Hall is thinking with all that's happened these past 3 weeks.

As for Shearer, if a new owner comes in, I say make him the manager. Fresh start and all.

"Alans contract as ambassador ran out last season. As a gesture of goodwill the club have given him a complimentary box at SJP" according to the club.

Alan Shearer - Club Statement

Alan Shearer had a contract for ambassadorial duties which ran out at the end of last season.

As the majority of corporate businesses decided against renewing due to lack of transfers, Alan was given a complimentary corporate box back in June for use at St. James' Park and the Club continues to have an excellent relationship with its all-time greatest goalscorer.

Any suggestion that Alan was stripped of this role because of recent events is completely inaccurate.

I was right at 7pm on saturday night and i'm right now. Shearer does not want to embarass the club, but the story is nailed on.

Why didn't you just PM your source to the mods then, so we didn't have to think this was bollocks for a day or two?
