LiquidAK
Shearer is club ambassador regardless of what Ashley says. Wherever he goes he'll be representing Newcastle United, even if it's not in an official capacity.

TRon
Would like to see Shearer as chairman. So would I. At least he'd be answerable for a change rather than sniping from the sidelines alongside that slimebag Mark Lawrenson.
Guest gggg
It is not known if Shearer's Bar, which was boycotted by the vast majority of fans on Saturday who would normally fill it, will undergo a name change. Ashley's? Wise's? Cockney's?

Guest
Would like to see Shearer as chairman. So Wise isn't qualified enough to be a Director of Football running above a manager, but Shearer is qualified enough to run the whole club. F*cking hell man. Guest gene77
Wonder what Sir John Hall is thinking with all that's happened these past 3 weeks. As for Shearer, if a new owner comes in, I say make him the manager. Fresh start and all.

Guest Gallowgate Mag
Alan Shearer - Club Statement Alan Shearer had a contract for ambassadorial duties which ran out at the end of last season. As the majority of corporate businesses decided against renewing due to lack of transfers, Alan was given a complimentary corporate box back in June for use at St. James' Park and the Club continues to have an excellent relationship with its all-time greatest goalscorer. Any suggestion that Alan was stripped of this role because of recent events is completely inaccurate.
