Unlucky Luque
Martins and Ameobi have woken up after getting a bit of service. Hopefully Barton, Jonas or N'Zogbia can give them more in the second half.

M4
Looking forward to the second half, let's get Jonas and Zoggy on! Duff can come off, the guy simply isn't worth it unless we can send him out in a green shirt.
fredbob
Do you think we'll ever get to se bassong and Colo together?
Unlucky Luque
Would you take 1-1 now? I would, like, in a heartbeat >_< no way
thomas
Decent half. They definitely went all out in the first 30 or so, wonder if they'll feel it around 60-70 minutes. Got to hope Steed doesn't, at the least. Take him out and their moves are going to have most of the bite taken out. Cisse is quick but he's containable. Guest LucaAltieri
Do you think we'll ever get to se bassong and Colo together? Is this a Ross and Rachel-type situation I was unaware of?
Yorkie
Unconvincing to say the least but we're doing alright. Really need Martins to get into the game more, he's not offering himself at all really - not taking up any positions. It's a shame cos when he's been on the ball he's been good. Other than that, just a case of finding passes and wanting the ball more really. Shola's having a great game. Coloccini is looking like a rock. Guthrie supplying other players nicely. Bassong - not sure at all about him at left-back. Strong and good in the challenge, but he's definitely a centre-back. A bit lost at sea occassionally. Wouldn't like to predict a FT score like. Fans are making it sound like a home game, btw.
alexf
Would you take 1-1 now? I would, like, in a heartbeat >_< with jonas, charlie and barton altho dunno how fit he is. on the bench i think we can be even more dangerous going forward so i wouldnt settle for a draw just yet, altho a little scared taylor might have one of his brambe-esk moments and all the good work will be undone
Nobody
We shouldn't be defending this fucking deep. It's like Kinnear is telling our players to defend deep, hoof it up to Ameobi, but if they score we push forward. Why the fuck don't we start the games the way we play after conceding? It's the same every fucking game. Straight after our goal we pushed back again as well, not as much as before their first, but still way too deep. Wake the fuck up, Sunderland aren't that good, we should be taking the game to them.
Skirge
How the fk is Yorke not in the book? dear me he has given away shitloads of freekicks, we started poor but then got over the easrly nervs. No shape to the game though, everyting is down the middle from both side. STM
Half time: Given- 7 Nowt to do really Beye- 7 Dealt with the threat of their left Taylor- 6 At fault but not terrible so far Coloccini- 7 Won alot again, couple of fouls. Bassong- 5 Sloppy Geremi- 7 ANOTHER assist, his importance to our side must be recognised, our biggest threat. Butt- 7Worked hard Guthrie- 7 Same as above Duff- 7 Looked good but got greedy, needs to help out bassong Martins- 7 Lively Shola- 8 Causing problems
Dave
Let's hope Joe can get us performing in another second half.

Wake the fuck up, Sunderland aren't that good, we should be taking the game to them. We're too vunerable to break aways, we need to defend deep. A good example would be just before half time when Cisse raped Bassong and Colo and got a (shit) cross in.

Wake the fuck up, Sunderland aren't that good, we should be taking the game to them. The problem is, all it would take is one through ball and Richardson/Cisse can use their pace and exploit the likes of Taylor and Bassong instantly. We've nullified those threats well, and Colo has dealt with every aerial in there. Duff/Bassong is the problem. Duff not tracking back quick enough, not covering. Bassong not really having a clue where he's supposed to be.

Guest LucaAltieri
Well, Shola is officially never, ever leaving now. We should keep him just for the mackem games. It adds a nice bit of insult to injury.
