TaylorJ_01
Clearly not a wind up. He's pointing out how weak our creative department was last year. Would you say he worked his socks off and was the best player in the team for most games? Would you also put him on the same level as Van Basten or Shearer? dcmk
There's a reason that none of the top clubs in europe have players as limited as Owen in their team lads Inzaghi and Raul?

SEMTEX
There's a reason that none of the top clubs in europe have players as limited as Owen in their team lads Inzaghi and Raul? Raul!?!? Raul gets into the team via pure reputation, whenever seen him play for Real i can see the comparison, doesnt do alot but poach odd goal.

I'm not so sure Raul should be in the Real team anymore / for much longer, he is there because he is a fan favourite (for good reason of course). But either way, he isn't a moocher like Pippo/Owen/Ruud. That may just be the only way his legs can take it nowadays, I dunno
M4
Raul was brilliant this past season... scoring for fun. edit: past 2 seasons even.
dcmk
18 Raul Real Madrid Spain Scored 18 goals last season, is that bad? Well Owen scored 8 was it? In a team that was relegated and created 3 times less chances at the very least.
2sheds
I think Fergie would have outbid Liverpools £3million offer for Shearer they made when Bobby was here if we'd let him go. Fergie has always loved his strikers and I think Owen will at the very least score more for Man U than Berbatov will. He'll probably score a boat load for them tho As for Owen I don't blame him for the wages he's received from us - no one in their right mind would have told Fat Fred to cut it to £50K a week. His big crime for me is his role as so called club captain when (as Dave has rightly pointed out) he should have issued some statement to the fans after relegation. A ludicrous decision to sign him was followed by an ever stupider decision to make this guy club captain.
Raconteur
Clearly not a wind up. He's pointing out how weak our creative department was last year. The same creative department that allowed a Danish journeyman to outscore our supposed superstar? Owen is washed up as a player and a pathetic weasel of a man. But most importantly, he's gone. Fuck off Michael. And if God is kind, Vidic will break both of your legs in the first training session.

Guest Mani
Owen 8 in 28 . Martins 8 in 24. Martins on almost half the wages owen was on, Fook owen. Good riddance , glad he's moving to man utd. Now the Owen fanboys have no more excuses when he fails yet again. fair play to the lad though, the brochures clearly worked.
Pilko
Of course, no-one ever remembers that it was Keegan who made him captain and everyone after him, Kinnear, Hughton and Shearer didn't have enough sense to take the armband off him and give it to someone who at least looked like they gave a shit Not as bitter as some re: his goalscoring etc, but as a captain he was a fucking shambles
