It’s mental. Current injury team would be:

Vicario, Spence, VDV, Romero, Udogie, Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison, Johnson, Solanke, Odobert, with Werner on the bench and Richarlison having a late fitness test.

Meanwhile players like Porro, Son and Kulu are out on their feet. I said I was checking out until Feb but honestly might have to wait until March. Want to berate Ange but the whole thing is a joke.

Not saying Ange doesn't flaws but the injury list is ridiculous. Not just league games, but Spurs have had 12-13 cup games too. It's a really, really difficult situation.

I'm in between positions here. I've had serious reservations about Postecoglu since we humped Spurs (again! Hohoho) last season and he stood hands in his pockets like a man without a clue about what to do. That game was far from an aberration at the time.  His team had a style with clear vulnerabilities that people had started to clearly work it out. At the start of the season I think I even predicted on here that I thought he'd be gone by the end of the season.

Equally our injury record was bad last year and we don't need reminding how badly that cost us. Spurs' this season is next level again. It's almost impossible to get good results with that many plays out. It's not just who you're missing it's how those who are there can't do what they normally would. Think about how our high press fell apart for a bit as players who were fit were just 1 or 2% off it due to fatigue. Ironically I wonder if the injuries may keep him in his job for a bit longer as it masks what I feel are chronic weaknesses in him as a coach.

I think it's simpler than that. You can't play the way they play in the premier league unless you are to a man perfect and expect to do well. It worked at first as teams didn't expect it. They are easy to nullify now.

That injury list looks horrific

But Spurs aren’t being stifled by snide financial rules that prevent them from spending on new players to plug some of the gaps

So my sympathy for them is somewhere between zero and fuck all

I don't think they will get relegated or even come close given the poor quality of the bottom, but looking at the fixtures if they don't get more than a point against Brentford and Man United then their trip to Portman Road at the end of February would be very interesting.

Not close enough to the detail but how much is that genuine injuries and how many would be cleared up a week after Ange gets sacked?

When we had a terrible injury list last season, well i don't recall Howe using it as an excuse to lose. Ange is a gobshite who can't see his own flaws, sod the trappy tosser.

100% this!

Eddie got on with it!
