Guest neesy111
The car park is still there, probably not for much longer though. They're still wrangling with Tesco about planning, they won't proceed with the demolition until everything is agreed with what is going in its place. I'll be sad to see it go, would rather have seen it refurbished and made part of the new developments. Will be good to see some shops actually worth going to in the heed though, might help liven up the town centre a bit. town centre is a hole, and i wouldn't dare even go for a piss in the pubs

Last time I was back in Gateshead in 2005, I had to make an emergency dash to a pub at the bottom of the High Street, just opposite Boots the Chemist about lunch time. Jeez, I thought I walking into a fifth world nation ablution establishment. The fucking smell was revolting and guess you could say I never pissed so quickly in my life. Just as in all big cities, the real centre (Newcastle) becomes too expensive and the surrounding areas become more acceptable. I love Gateshead FWIW, lots of places nicer than people realise. It's mainly the town centre that lets it down IMO.

Colocho
Tell me a better, more effective target man that we could realistically sign this summer.

Disco
Robert Lewandowski Off to get neckache at B'burn ain't he? I'd take Kalinic if they're sacking him off.
Ronaldo
Still think he's a shocking target man, but as long as he scores i could barely care less. Don't think he'll cut it at all next season though.

Was in Genoa last week watching a game and was apparently due to watch a Blackburn game this week if it hadn't been for the volcanic ashes. No deal has been made though. I reckon whoever gets him is getting a bargain for the reported 4m. He's a real athletic lad and a very much all around striker though I've always been mostly impressed with his ability to make room for himself and hold up the ball bringing other players into play. Needs to work on his finishing but he could definitely become a very good player with the right training.

thenige
Marc Janko, but personally I'd rather Carroll is given a shot.

You didnt think he'd cut it this season the majority of the time. Some of us could see his ability was there though obviously
spizz energi
Carroll would be good to throw on for the last 20 minutes or so but is nowhere near good enough to be starting Premiership games.
Ronaldo
Up until February he had 4 league goals. His form in the last 3 months has been absolutely brilliant, but let's not forgot the shower of shite we've been playing against.

Colocho
You make it seem like his good form of late is only due to playing shit teams. Sure, up until Feb he did only have 4 goals, but he's so young, I don't see how people can be so ready to write him off. I can't even think of a Premier League player (with the exception of Cahill) who has looked such a composed finisher in the air.
Ronaldo
Has already scored in the prem So has Chopra. Carroll isn't a premiership player yet, that's all i'm saying.
