Guest firetotheworks
Crouch would make him crease himself before he could get to the K in K.O
huss9
bit worrying that from hughton - his analysis of crouch is completely inaccurate
Ronaldo
They must be desperate, that's an old quote from Hughton.
madras
Crouch is much better on the floor at this moment in time, but Carroll is a beast in the air. i'm not sure about that. crouch's close control is better but carroll put some balls in from out wide that we'd have wanked over had ginola put them in and crouch could never even hope to do. Cajun
No problems with that, unless we go all out he will be our number one forward next season.
ChrisMcQuillan
That's the worst article I've ever seen.
jdckelly
I'm not one to overly get concerned about squad numbers (except for daft ones like a cb wearing 10 etc) so dont care if he wears it tbh, hes is the best candidate for the jersey but at the end of the day its only a number on a shirt
JH
Rather him than Shola.
Yorkie
I'm of the sickly 'the number 9 is special' clan, and neither Shola nor Carroll have earnt the shirt yet.

Dokko
Would mean more to him than anyone else in the squad and it looks like it's going to be that way for a while. It's a huge boost for him like it would any local lad playing upfront for us and we should expect even more heart, effort and commitment from him. Another thing is it's something money can't buy, and if he acts up again the number can easily be removed from him.

All that 'magic' went when Roeder gave the shirt to Martins. Bizarre decision. Nahhh... Criteria: / Currently striker performing well enough/scoring enough goals to earn the upgrade / Big money signing Martins was no different to Shearer really going by point B, though Shearer had already proven to be an unreal goalscorer. Oba's goal tally for us overall wasn't bad anyway. This shit matters aiiyt.
ChrisMcQuillan
Hughton was going to give the feckin' thing to Best, but Best turned it down.

Yorkie
Moron. He had a 1 in 3 record for us!
AyeDubbleYoo
I wouldn't be against giving the A Train the number nine shirt... he seems like he has the attitude where it would be a boost rather than a burden.
David Icke - Son of God
Moron. He had a 1 in 3 record for us! That doesn't really tell the whole story. He was prone to flashes of brilliance and bursts of form but those were eclipsed by barren runs where you'd put your money on him missing if he was standing on the with the ball on his toe facing the goal. madras
give it to whoever and get rid of this cliche of newcastle and the no.9. we've had as much s*** as good there over the years and to use a phil k-ism it's just another thing for the media to blow out of any reasonable proprtion.
