NORWICH City today confirmed the contract of Manager Glenn Roeder has been terminated with immediate effect.

Glenn Roeder joined the Club in November 2007 and with the help of Paul Stephenson and Lee Clark revitalised the fortunes of the Canaries and lifted them from the bottom of the table to eventual Championship safety in the 2007-08 campaign.

Announcing today's decision, Chairman Roger Munby said: "We'd like to place on record our sincere gratitude and admiration for what Glenn and his staff achieved last season when they saved the Club from relegation against the odds.

"However this season the position has become untenable and it is with regret that the Board has decided to take this step. We are in the process of deciding who will take charge of the team for Saturday's Championship match against Barnsley at Carrow Road and a further announcement will be made about this in due course."

The Club can confirm the contracts of first team coaches Paul Stephenson and Adam Sadler have also been terminated with immediate effect.

He had just been there a couple of months, hadn't he?

There's a difference between being out of your depth & being an "utter cunt".

You've forgotten the golden rule: "everyone associated with NUFC since 1991 apart from Keegan and Robson are utter cunts"

And you can cross Robson off that list if you're talking to Niall or Biffa.

I thought the way he treated Luque was a disgrace tbh, he started the whole reserves team ahead of him, promised him his chance against Palermo and when he took it he dropped him in the game afterwards, it got the the point that he started playing Ameobi as our left winger just to keep him out of the squad!

I believe those two are covered by the "adopted geordie" caveat.

True Luque's been fucking awesome since he left here and got the chances he deserved.  Have you ever thought perhaps Luque was the cunt?

Whilst homegrown geordies who move south to London get lambasted as being "plastic geordies"...
