Romain Amalfitano's spectacular first goal for Newcastle was the difference between United's Reserves and Gateshead at half-time in this pre-season friendly.

The new signing from Rennes started in a strong second string named by Willie Donachie and Peter Beardsley and made a huge impression as he ran from his own half to put the Magpies 2-0 up at the International Stadium.

Search Sky Tyne & Wear for the goals. Just been posted by Sky on Twitter so I'm assuming it's ok to tell you where to go to see it.

Cheers for that, some lovely goals there

Some of these youngsters are really exciting. Good times ahead for the club.

How good is Maddison? He seems to make quite an impact whenever he plays.

Was a lovely finish for his goal like.

Just saw it. Brilliant goal.

Seems as if he gets on the score sheet or is involved in goals quite often.

All great goals tbf, even the Heed finish was tasty.

Jonas and Colo there  Really think that shows the togetherness of the club at the minute, two Argentine Internationals watching the second string with the coaching staff.  :snod:
