Ishmael
Biggest issue with Coloccini is his marking on set pieces. Aside from that he's good enough. He's fucking not. The amount of times he gets out of position or gives the ball away is ridiculous for anyone who wants to call themselves a top class centre back. He's good enough for us, in the Championship. Guest
Harper - 5 (Krul - 8) R.Taylor - 6 Enrique - 6 Coloccini - 6 S.Taylor - 6 Duff - 7 Jonas - 5 Nolan - 6 Smith - 7 Ameobi - 3 Carroll - 6 (Barton - 6) Think we did well. Didn't let them bully us. Certainly after watching this match & Boro-Sheff Utd, we'll be up there with them for sure. Next game, I'd go with... GK - Krul RB - R.Taylor LB - Enrique CB - Coloccini CB - S.Taylor RM - Lua Lua LM - Duff CM - Barton CM - Smith CF - Carroll CF - Ranger

Keefaz
A few obesrvations: 1) That away kit is still lush 2) Carroll and Jonas look identical (apart from facial hair) 3) Coloccini isnt even Championship standard 4) Alan Smith was pretty handy today 5) Carroll and Ameobi as a partnership will get us nowhere 6) BBC need to stop slow-mo replays of Alan Smith tapping his head/Krul fist pumping 7) Ranger coming on was like the birth of a child to me 8) Ryan Taylor is RUBBISH 9) Watching Tim Krul at corners/crosses will haunt my dreams 10) For all the fears about this season...we'll be fine. Agree with almost all this apart from the first point which is obviously just mental.

jdckelly
My thoughts for what they're worth (2 sandwichs and a bottle of cider) Harper 6- did alright bit unlucky to have his head kicked off by shola around the goal R.Taylor 5.5 Looked uncomfortable tbh Enrique 6 alright in defence mostly nowt going forward S.Taylor 7 Solid performance Colo 2 i think im being kind here i blame him for the goal conceded Jonas 3 Ran with the ball but absolutely no end product too much diving too Duff 6.5 alright overall, nice finish for the goal Nolan 6 better 2nd half when he was forward more Smith 8.5 Excellent winning the ball back, lead by example pity he forgot how to shoot Shola 4.5 All he did was attempt to kill harper Carroll 7 Good game as target man Krul 8- Fantastic few hairy moments but what a keeper this lad could be Barton 6.5 looked lively Away Kit 10/10 its growing on me you know

Besides we have nobody else really. Kadar, maybe?

I wasn't falling for what TCL said, more what my eyes told me. He's simply not comfortable with the pace or physicality of the English game and needs to be shipped out as soon as. Frazzle
Was I the only one who thought Coloccini didn't do too badly? Nah me too, started off ****, but got better and better. People have an axe from last season to grind though, same with Jonas.

Cajun
Coloccini was much improved in the second half and did well with a couple of things. Still needs to sort himself out if he is staying though.
Jayson
The goal was partly a result of him losing his man. Two of kruls saves were the result of Colo not being able to deal with his man. Didnt do to badly He had decent moments to be fair, but when he cocks up it is often very costly.

Didnt do to badly I thought it was Shola or Carroll's man that won the original header, plus Harper's flapping that cost the goal. The shot which was saved by Krul's foot I thought was good play from the striker and there wasn't much to aim at. Krul would have been disappointed to have let that in near post. Can't remember the other chance which was down to him.
