I like Cameron, I know he's a public schoolboy toff but all politicians are liars. That's a fact of life

Not like footballers at all then. 'blah blah are a massive club and i've always dreamed of playing my football at.....er....ah...their football ground, the fans are really loyal and I spoke to the manager and I'm excited by his plans and the plans of the board''

=

''they are paying me £50k a week to kick a football, seriously man.''

Typical "working class hero". Sells his soul to the ones who f**k those he grew up with and those who pay his wages 'cause they charge him less tax.

With Nolan gone I think Joey will be instrumental this season if he stays which is looking increasingly likely. Cabaye sounds more of a creative sort, and if we are going to go 4-3-3 then having two players like Tiote and Barton with a bit of steel about them sitting in will be important.

It worries me he is having a good pre season

If a 5mil bid comes in you do realise he is off!

He is playing against youth and amateur teams. Calm down

Attitude fitness and goals make him a very attractive proposition regardless of who he plays against

Pre-season won't change the opinion of other teams about him. If they were to bid 5 mio for him than it won't be because of pre-season.

Yeah pretty much this

Yeah, there's never been much doubt about his ability. It's the other parts of the package that have hindered him.

Sign up Joey Barton ffs. He is 28(29 in sept) and imo he will last another 3-4 good years.

No doubt why they did indeed want to sign him up for 3 years but he wanted 5.

I find it crazy, its not like he will be a donkey by then and also we could get a mill or so for him from a say newly promoted club when he has a year or so left on his contract.

Am sure the club thought similar when they gave Alan Smith a 5 year deal

Yeah maybe but Joey won't be on £80k per week like that greedy little Leeds bastard.
