Dave
Off to Everton for £4m according to Alan Oliver. He also reckons we want Karl Henry () and Tranquillo Barnetta.

Guest
If true then it's clear Cabaye is a straight replacement you'd imagine. Least it's like for like and a good quality replacement this time.
Cajun
£4m would be a good price considering (not that I would want to sell him).
Guest Heneage
Ignoring the blame game for a second it would be sad to see him go. He's finally clicked here and been a good player this year.
Guest
£4m is a cracking fee for someone with one year left and coming up to 29 too imo.

jdckelly
Where exactly would Everton pull £4m from and if they have it why wouldn't they spend it on a striker which is what they really need

The Barton to Everton story is in a few of the papers tomorrow. Would have hated him here in the past but he's changed my opinion on him in the past couple of years. Less happy with the Jay bloody Bothroyd stories....

Although it will make sense with Barton's crosses from the right for Cahill to feed on if the move does happen.

Think he's more likely to be offered less on a longer deal though. The club wouldn't give Pienaar the 60k he wanted & I reckon Heitinga will be moved on in the summer. He's one of several big earners we could afford to lose (Yak, Yobo & Bily too)
