I was dissapointed in us not offering Loven a simple deal. He has bags of pace and scored a few handy goals, albeit he missed that Everton chance (ack, sitll gets to me)...

But in the Championship he'd be very useful as he would be an ideal foil for someone like Andy Carroll.

I'd bite their hands off for Dos Santos.

May well be going back to Spain.  Seriously talented player, Redknapp reckons he could be world class if he turned up for training on time now and again in the mornings  and could stay out of the clubs at night.

Newcastle did want Jake Livermore ( I said that a few days ago), but he's now gone to Derby.  Spurs have had a lot of enquiries about Bostock and said nothing doing until a week before the end of the window to give time to assess whether he could have an impact in the first team from the bench.  He'd be one i'd guess.

Whatever happened to Glenn?

Was fired from Norwich City last year/early this year.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Kerrea Gilbert, i've always rated him very highly but for some reason hasn't got the chances i feel he deserves, played a couple of games during the last season at Highbury when he was about 17 he's 21 now.

Been on loan at Cardiff, Southend and Leicester playing virtually full seasons at both Cardiff and Leicester!

Remember him playing a couple of games for your first team a few seasons ago and he looked a decent player. Typical Arsenal young defender really, very mesomorphic.

Insane looking back how he ever managed to get a full-time job as a Premier League manager at the time. Rubbish, rubbish manager; worse than Souness imo. (Un)fortunately he wasn't presented with the same funds as Souey, but even if he had he probably wouldn't have spent them - he'd still be scouting Kuyt.

That said; looking back the Roeder era seems like a walk in the park compared to everything else. And it was arguably the most frustrating (such was the disillusion and inevitability of relegation last season, the shitness became manageable in my mind). Roeder, on the other hand, was just torture - we'd finally chucked Souness and appointed someone even worse.

It turned out that Kuyt is quite good at Liverpool, so lets not poke fun at Glenn for scouting him for 5 years without even putting a bid in, then settling for Martins.

Some say Glenns ghost haunts the kop end whenever Kuyt is in the squad.

Aw, the rose tinted goggles are on a bit with me for Roeder now like. He was canny shit, but he was the least shit we've had for a while (who was here longer than Keegan).

Heh, in all fairness, i'm glad we ended up with Martins in the end. I doubt Kuyt would have prevented us from any serious threats of relegation in the same way Oba did that year.

I was thinking about that a while ago, I don't think Kuyt would have had the same impact that Martins had, or scored near the same amount of goals as Martins did so it all worked out for the best in the end.
