Despite the looming impact of Uefa's financial fair play (FFP) regulations, Chelsea's full accounts show that Roman Abramovich finds it hard to break one expensive habit – it cost the club £28m to sack Carlo Ancelotti in the summer and hire his replacement, André Villas-Boas.

The £28m it cost to pay off Ancelotti and his back-room staff and compensate Porto for the acquisition of Villas-Boas takes to around £64m the total Chelsea have paid out in hiring and firing managers in the last four years alone.

That's just ridiculous, £64m...makes Torres seem like an ok buy.

Any chance of you appearing there in a few years? (NUFC placed regularly not too long ago)

Easily achievable, just follow the Tottenham model.

Jack up admission and season ticket prices to ridiculously high levels and have a fanbase mug enough to keep on filling the stadium.

except that wouldn't work in our circumstances, as the stadium is too big. simple economics explains that ^

Out of curiosity what's your average ticket/ST price?

It be more relevant surely if the figures were minus wage bill/outgoings... Always thought Valencia for example were skint...

€98m is pretty good for our first season back in the Premier League. With a much improved league position we should be on course to clear €105m or thereabouts. Not bad at all for a team outside of the European Comps.

Would no doubt be a mackem meltdown should we break the Top 20 again

I'm sure we're on course for higher attendances this season as well.

With all the deals offered out this season i was staying clear of how much that would bring in :D

Mine's over £900 and it's not the dearest, I would guess the average price is around £6/700.    It's just as well we play decent entertaining football because Levy wouldn't be able to maintain the ticket prices.  Just trying to raise as much money as we can, a CL place (hopefully) creates the need to pay CL wages to players.  Add to that the need to raise as much money for the new stadium, the final planning permission goes in on 13 February with work, all being well, starting in the Autumn.

I think our latest financial results released were for the Championship season. So I wouldn't be surprised to see us back up or around there when the extra revenue from being in the Premier League is taken into account.
