jdckelly
This will kill them. Already hanging from a wire. Hope they show the same kind of bite for bigger clubs. Fat chance easy to punish a smaller club like Malaga than any of the real European power houses Meanwhile PSG sign a deal with the qatar tourist board worth €200m a season and UEFA will do the sweet sum of fuck all about it FFP is a load of shite which is going to go for the easy targets

alexf
So hold on. They are already financially in a mess so they fine them 300k euros and ban them from any european competition for 4 years, which would be the only way they could recoup the money. Meanwhile City, Psg, Chelsea etc are free to go about their business. Pricks.
jdckelly
its the fine thats bugging me, 300k fine for being in a financial mess but Serbia gets an 80k fine for Racism. Good to see UEFA's priorities are in order........

Well, the core idea of FFP is "Don't spend money you don't make", which Málaga effectively have done since they can't pay the footballers they have bought (part of the debt is outstanding transfer fees to other clubs too) in order to achiever their current success. Village Idiot
either way their squads going to get picked apart in the summer Craziest thing is that they are currently running 4th and they almost have enough points to stay up. What are they going to play for the rest of the season?

Disco
Got to agree with the Irishman, never understood fining teams that are already struggling with finances, surely there are other measures they can implement to punish them.

Village Idiot
Yeah, but it's not given out through the table, everybody gets equal share. Anyway it's a very small amount (€660k for each BBVA club and €440k for each in Adelante) since most revenues are managed directly by the clubs or the FA. Surely all this stuff along with TV contracts has to go to what we (England), Italy and Germany have in the future. No wonder why so many Spanish clubs as struggling financially.
