Future Managers

Raul?

His manager said last week that he is very interested on becoming a manager. That would be ace.

He'd be more nailed on to manage Real than Shearer is to manage us.

He comes across as pretty inarticulate in interviews, so here's hoping he'll be pants.

Is he still getting into the team on merit these days? Or is it his "off the field leader" status that gets him picked all the time?

He has a huge clout in the local press etc... so there's a lot of pressure to get him picked. Let's be honest here, he's not useless, just shouldn't be a starter anymore on a team that wants to be at the absolute top. Pellegrini has had an uphill battle with the media this season, as he is benching him pretty often.

Paul Dalglish named manager of Tampa Bay Rowdies.

are they really called the 'rowdies'? fkin hell.

There's a team in the United Soccer League called "Hollywood United Hitmen" I think it's one of the most hilarious club names ever.

Yank football names are the best.

I'm not sure if he'll be any good, but the Neviller will definitely have a go, don't think he's that clever, but I get the impression he sits with a notebook and writes down everything Fergie says, so he might have learned something by now. Think his brother would be better at it though, but probably wouldn't get considered as he always seems to be underrated by everyone.

The former Everton player "Preki" is the new Toronto FC manager.

Twice the MVP of the American footie league. Just checked his stats, for fun:

Premier League: 9 in 86

Major League Soccer: 79 in 242

As we say in Spain "in the land of the blind, the one-eyed is King"

all this listing of ex players......

the evidence shows top rate players are s*** managers

How many top rate players have been listed. Have you even read any of the thread? Also, evidence shows that every single fucking manager is an ex player, so it makes sense to list a few.

I think Frank Lampard has what it takes. There I said it.

Yep. He's one the very few footballers around with a fully working brain.
