Lovely goal like, the turn in particular.

I'm still reserving judgment on how effective he is when he plays in a match that's a lot less open. It might be that he's better as an impact sub.

Certainly not afraid to have a crack and that can't be bad. makes a pleasant change actually.

Best goal at St James' by a Newcastle player since Emre against Reading?

Depressing thought but none come to mind!

Solano - Everton?

Or was that before that...

But I didn't think he'd do that, was crazy when he scored.  :smitten:

Christ, I'd forgotten about that. It was a last-ten winner as well weren't it?

It was aye, I just missed it by a minute, was gutted.

We've been crying out for pace, width and balance to the midfield. In other words, we've been crying out for a right winger.

He's certainly done enough to deserve a start in the next game, and Nolan's suspension removes a selection dilemma for Hughton. Guthrie and Smith in the middle, Pancrate and Gutierrez on the wings.

They were good goals, but in terms of out of the blue, it's a while since we've seen a one like Pancrate's.

I think it has a lot to do with the stage of the game we were at and the pressure that was relieved as a result
