i'm asking about this as today i ventured into a new and eerie place.....match time newcastle city centre. unable to avoid work much to my chagrin i had to head for the city centre for 3pm (at least recently on my horrendous run of missed games  i've been starting at better times) the ammount of people on the bus going to the match at half 2 was amazing. "right pet am off to the match" 2-15........bus 2-30.....SJP 2-50. and i'll bet they came home straight after.

on a good day (ie non work) the routine is.....

8am wake

8-9 brekkie

10 swimming with kids

12-15 bus

12-50 pub

14-45 leave pub

14-58 enter SJP

1700ish arrive back at pub

somewhere between 1900 and last orders leave pub.

Wake up about 11, drive over to Mothers for about 12 and leave car there, get bus in and go to Sam Jacks for 1ish, up to the ground for 2.40ish.  Back to Sam Jacks after till about 7, then move on to other bars.

Need to change the bar like, getting tired of Sam Jacks now.

I like being in the ground quite a while before kick off. At least half an hour.

Same here, I like to watch the teams warm-up and also to have a bit chat with the people around me and my mates before the game starts.

I am pretty consistent, for Sat 3pm games my dad comes round to my house around 12noon, we have a sandwich, usually Sausage then head out on the Metro around 1:30.

Get of at Central and go into The Centurian drink at least 3 pints of Fosters, occasionally 4 then walk the exact same route to St James', use the same zebra crossings and enter by the same turnstyle for every game.  I never wear my football shirt as everytime I do we get beat, this is a fact!!

Thinking about this while writing my routine has made me realise how supersticious I actually am..........

tend to drink after the game rather than before.

Usually something along the lines of...

11am - wake up

12.15-1pm - football focus

1.30 - stroll into town

1.45 - Goose/3 bulls/percy/hotspur (usually only 1 or 2 of them, not all)

2.30 - leave one of the pubs

2.40/2.45 - arrive at SJP

Post-game - have a walk past pre-game pubs, if we're quick out SJP, back in, if not Luckies and Hancock.

Very rarely these days, I prefer to drink in the comfort of my own home. Sometimes head out for 1 or 2 after, but not usually.
