STM
So you are guessing It's fun being the miserable one, it convinces people that you know what you are talking about when things go tits up, which it always does at this club anyway.
Guest johnson293
Guthrie has the engine to get into those positions though, it's extremely ignorant to assume that just because he has the delivery, (it's not nearly as good as it was btw) he'll be able to use it. IMO he's retained the same amount of fitness and ability as Beckham, who still applies his trade at one of the biggest clubs in the world. Let me guess "that's different"? Why did West Ham let him go for basically nowt then, as we did, and Villa before that and us before that? In fairness, when we let him go in the past, it was down to a fall out with Sir Bobby the first time (over the playing for Peru thing), and the 2nd time, he wanted to move south for 'Family Reasons'. Niether case seemed to be due to his ability at the time(s). Can't comment on the reasons for being allowed to leave West Ham, or his last 2 clubs (in Greece and Peru respectively) for nowt or very little, but I'm sure his age had a lot to do with it. As for us, one of Bobby's biggest mistakes was letting Nobby go and second time around he wasn't cut out for the premiership, simple.
JH
For the record, alot were gutted to see him go to West Ham the second time He went because of his family.

Ronaldo
Honestly. Personally I think it's blatantly obvious to anyone who has watched the pair of them in the last 5 years that Nobby has nowhere near the ability and fitness levels of Beckham, which is why he's at Milan and Nobby cant get a contract at Colchester Utd. NG32
I think in this league he will be fine, we could really do with a regular supply from the right.

At no point was a comparison made between the ability of Solano and Beckham. What it said was that if Beckham can maintain his level of fitness and ability for Milan, then Nobby can do so for a Championship club. I won't repeat it a third time. Other clubs decision making have no influence on my opinion's because i don't know the situation of every other club in the world and neither do you (even if you think you do). At a guess; West Ham- Couldn't afford him and had managerial changes Villa- Got Milner
Ronaldo
I see where you're all coming from lads, I love the bloke too. You're all going to be dissapointed if you're expecting a substancial contribution from him though. I just hope we don't see what i'm expecting, a complete shell of one our best players of the last 15 years.
macca888
Ronaldo Give it up, son. We realise you dont want him back whilst the majority on here can see his short term value. As usual, you show the uncanny ability to disagree with virtually all on here regarding most threads displaying a hopeless lack of knowledge about the game and the ability of various players. Maybe you are trying for the title of Mr.Annoying Newcastle Online and suceeding. Try NUFC Blog, you will be a lot more sucessful there.
nobby_solano
well he couldn't have done that badly in peru to say he played 30 odd games and scored 10 goals as they won the championship, so i'm sure he could cut it in the championship

That's it though, a shell of Solano is better than most of the chamionships right midfielders. For 10 games on a nothing wage? Hardly going to cripple the club is it? I did edit my last post to add that. Doesn't matter how much ability he has, you just can't demand high fees for a player beyond a certain age - surely you can see this? How many players over 30 have gone for substantial fees in the past, never mind these days when clubs (not just us) are supposedly going for youth over experience, and looking for better value? Benwell Lad
Howay lads, we're jumping the gun, it's unlikely to happen. If it does then we'll have plenty to debate, but even then it would probably be a couple of months as RB cover and not to play midfield.

Come on mate, you've admitted that you haven't seen many of our games this season. And how much of Nobby have you seen recently? I'm finding it increasing difficult to believe that you haven't just woke up from a coma you entered in 2003.
NG32
Yeah I agree but I'm sure ashley is just gunning for promotion so any of that youth stuf is out of the window for the nxt 5 months or so. Anyway, any young footballer should watch how nobby shifts the ball about the pitch with ease. Like someone said, its probs never going to happen anwyay.
