Getting rid of Big Sam was Mike Ashley's biggest mistake and the start of the end for him and indeed the club under his ownership.

Sam's been found out, that's all there is to it.

Anyone under the illusion that we were getting relegated in 2008 needs to look at the table at the end of 2007.

Allardyce would have taken us nowhere, but we would never have been relegated under him, no chance.

It took a very, very special combined effort from Kinnear, Hughton and Shearer to take us down. Allardyce wouldn't have started Butt or Shola and might have even (pure speculation) dropped Owen when it was clear he was contributing fuck all last season.

He did go to Derby solely focussed on "not getting beat" though, because it was "a difficult place to come"

Owen was never ever going to contribute anything under a sam allerdyce team.

How the fuck do you work that out when someone like Geremi was the cornerstone of his team.

Exactly. The liverpool game stands out to me, the organization was a shambles. Nobody on the right hand side all game. If it wasn't for Given we would ave lost 11 or 12-0. We didnt have a shot or corner all game!
