Heron
We're Newcastle and we're gunna win the league! We don't care about Ashley, he don't care about me, all we care about - is NUFC. What the f***ing hell is that?!? (Welsh flag) etc, etc. Last night was the exact reason I moved to Level7...fan-dabbie-dozy. The Toon were quality last night too, some of the goals were quality and we actually pissed it. If the rumours about all the violence before and after the game are true, then match gave them a proper Geordie "welcome". Agreed! Superb up in Level 7 last night. It was just one of those nights that come around every once in a while. Great performance on the pitch and excellent in the stands as well. Heard about all the trouble with the Cardiff fans but I was in the town from 4 and went to several different pubs and hardly even seen a Welshman when I was expecting them to be all over the place. I walked under the Leazes End and someone was being treated by some Police and they were all singing and gesticulating. There was loads of Police in the Bigg Market last night too when we ventured up for a pizza at the end of the night. I reckon there wasn't as much trouble as people were expecting like, I thought it was gunna be a warzone last night the way the match went, etc. However, since we wankered them on and off the pitch during that 90minutes it turned their enthusiasm down a bit. Guest toonlass
The lad in front of me got banned for 2 years tonight for headbutting another Newcastle fan and putting him on his arse. The reason for it? The headbutter's mate pushed into the queue to get into level 7 and the lad who was headbutted took exception to it and all s*** kicked off. Stupid man. I was stood in the queue right behind the lad who was being accused of pushing in. I'd had a few so i'm not actually sure if he did push in but I know the lad well that nutted the older fella who was accusing him (he's called Neil). Police were straight on the scene as a few others jumped in but he'll be gutted if he's got a 2 year ban because he's been going to the match for years. Missed the 1st 2 goals because of the big queues outside and it wasn't until I seen the goals again on SSN in the 3 Bulls afterwards that I realised we had won 5-1. I thought we had won 4-1 because when we eventually got in someone told us that we were already 1-0 up - he'd obviously missed the 1st goal! The lad who pushed in stands in front of me too and he pushed in to be next to my mate Welshy who I go to the games with usually. He admitted he had pushed in and Welshy reckons that the bloke who went mad was pissed as a fart, but that the other lad just stormed over, planted the heed on the bloke and he went down like a sack of shit, but that the police were straight over. The lad who pushed in left at half time, he looked well fucked off, spent most of the first half on his phone, and his other mate who stands with both of them usually, was the one who told me the headbutter lad had been banned. WarrenBartonCentrePartin
as Gabor Gyepes unfortunately found the back of his own net with his attempted clearance after Jonas Gutierrez's initial effort rebounded off the far post. EDIT: ndy Carroll increased Newcastle's lead to three - the striker rising above Anthony Gerrard to nod home a superb cross from former Bluebird Wayne Routledge. David Icke - Son of God
Just got back from the match loved the game but i sat in the leazes and found it incredibly repetitive tonight especially the dont care about ashley one We don't have enough decent songs to mix it up too much. The atmosphere is by far and away at it's best when a few thousand people sing one song for 10 minutes +, it builds and gets to the point where everyone is pretty much forced into singing and kit noticably reduces the amount of grumbling. Give me that Ashley song (great way to mix criticism of him and support of the team by the way, kudos to whoever came up with that) over sporadic chants of Geordie Boot Boys and Who Are Yer for 90 minutes. Guest firetotheworks
I had to laugh watching that interview with Dave Jones. For one, you would think they're in a relegation battle and two, using the old money excuse. 'I'm bringing on Wildig, and then I look at who they're bringing on y'know?' Yeah I do know Dave, it was Peter Lovenkrands, who we got for free.

Guest WashyGeordie
Cardiff... In-form... What a game/result, i didn't expect it like many, but what a f***ing performance, easily our best yet - with width. You need to keep a little context, good result, but if you listen to Dave Jones comments you will see they were down to the bare bones of their squad, Mcphail is just recovering from cancer treatment. Cardiff are always a funny side because they have a small squad and rely on accademy players at times, still good win, your big squad will pay dividends during this hectic period. Bugger off man. You didn't even see the game so how can you say "keep a little context"? That was the best performance I have seen from Newcastle for over 2 years man. We have been playing like s**** for so long, surely we can celebrate a fabulous team performance. I don't know about anyone else but before the game I was expecting us to have a hard time against Cardiff. And as for saying Cardiff are down to the bare bones, we had Enrique, Steven Taylor and Colocinni out ffs. We were immense tonight and the game and atmosphere was f***ing class. This. Also for the comments about the singing in L7, get a grip its one of the reasons fans goto games - the atmosphere, the singing, the banter with away fans (who I thought were gonna be vocal at the start of the game but were just hacked off after 16 mins). personally I thought it was great we kept that chant going so long - and I'm not even a Charva I think It's better when a chant lasts longer than 10 seconds anyway, it adds to the atmosphere, and it means we may sing the same songs over and over again. I didn't go to Ipswich, but Cardiff last night was definately the best home game of the season so far, and that's what the Leazes should be like for all home games imo. Tooj
I thought Routledge showed some touches of class last night, but also he tried to do too many things at times and a few times instead of choosing the easier option of passing it to Simpson who was in acres of space he tried to do something else. Reckon he's gonna be one of those who you'll have to learn to take the good with the bad, like most flashy players which he's always struck me as. Still, I'll take him over Ryan Taylor out there any time.

Wullie
Routledge doesn't seem to be pace and nothing else which is very encouraging. He's not put a poor cross in yet (give it time for the NUFC effect to take hold) and he's played two perfectly weighted through balls which have set up goals. Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
We really really don't need a defensive midfielder in this league, it showed last night, but unfortunately when Smith and Butt are back one of them will be back in the middle next to Nolan, sad because these are the kind of performances we could put in if we just set out our stall to attack. Pilko
I still don't think Nolan did much last night. He was still poor, but 100% improvement on Leicester. He also managed to keep running throughout, and was driving forwards more after Lovenkrands came on.
Mick
I still don't think Nolan did much last night. I didn't think Nolan did much either, like I said somewhere else we can live with 1 passenger. Barton could make a massive difference to us if he comes back fit and focused on becoming a footballer once again.
