Realistic Transfer Targets Summer 2010

Recommended Posts

I think we will be looking at players like; Johnson, O'Hara, Noble, Cleverley etc as well as a couple of out-of-the-blue foreign players like Jonas.

Which IMO is the correct route to go down.

Yeah, players who are improving or have something to prove as opposed to older signing every time for me. Johnson not soo much given his problems but the others yes.

You lot are still picking Michael Johnson? :dowie:

Are you disputing his talent?

Assuming you are of course reffering to his alleged drinking problems, why is it impossible for a youngster to turn his career around?

There's nothing to suggest he has a bad attitude (i don't think), therefore i'd like to think we are club that is prepare to give a talented youngster a chance.

If we can sort out a reasonable deal, he'd be a decent signing for us.

Bad attitude? What about the fact he got himself into the mess that he was by putting on a lot of weight, and getting pissed for 8 months? He's also just been out for a year, to take him would be crazy.

You not alot about alcoholism don't you?

That's why i reffered to signing him as a chance, not as a number one transfer target FFS.

 He hasn't played in, like, forever.

Aye you are right, because he hasn't got competition for his place has he? Christ.

I don't think he needs to worry about competition as long as he's 'injured'. Unless, by 'competition for his place', you meant the queue at the bar being six deep?

The guy weighs about 20 stone for fucks sake.

We need pace in the side not some wheezing bloater with a drink problem.

That's harsh. He's managed to score 14 goals for us, this year.

I know that it wasn't 'alcoholism' it was too much partying and spending nights in casino's.
