Same old Smudger, always scoring.

To get an air when he scores, please.

Have you closed up your ass yet? The Smudger is waiting.

It saddens me that this sort of question ranks above the forum awards, my dearest Tom. :aww:

Damn right it ranks above it. Now have you closed it up yet?

while in all likelihood he'll never score it would be nice if we got a penalty while a few goals up in a match for smith to take it just to get him off the mark for us. He hasnt scored a league goal for 4-5 years now i think

Don't often see ex Man Utd performing well, spoilt childs who need referees to assist all the time. BTW appreciate his effort for the club this season.

in fairness the last thing smith needs is refs to help him, normally its him against the refs with his card record

Not scoring for us adds to his cult status (if he has one) imo. Scoring 0 goals in 80 games for us or whatever could be classed as amusing, if that becomes 1 in 80 then it's shocking.

In hiis first season at Man Utd 19 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions is very good, as he was utilised as a striker that season.  It's easy to forget he was a very decent striker, and a competent finisher.  He scored a magnificent goal against Norwich in one of his early games I remember.  The move in to midfield was a disaster, and one of the more baffling things SAF has ever done, as because SAF did it, it seemed to convince every other manager he is a defensive midfielder.  That move seemed to take a lot from his game, but not more than his horrific injury at Anfield which in my view basically finished him as a top end player more than anything.  His last goal I remember was in the CL against Roma.
