Stifler
Sky Sports are to launch a 3DTV channel on the 3rd of April. Now Andy Gray's ego really will be in your face.

Lenny
They'll regret that when the 3D obsession fade away over the next year or so. I don't think it will fade away to be honest, the capability for it to be done effectively appears to be there now so it will probably become more common over time. I don't think it will fade away to be honest, the capability for it to be done effectively appears to be there now so it will probably become more common over time. Hollywood will fuck it up this time as well, as it's a fad they'll just toss anything out there and label it as 3D to make more money from people paying more to see it in 3D. On the other hand, if every 3D movie was as thorough as Avatar in using the technology, it'd be well nice and not fade away into obscurity again until the next time it comes around. But you just know they won't be.
jdckelly
i'll be honest here im not overly excited by this whole 3d thing the one time i went to see a 3d movie i left the place with a large headache and the glasses irritated me so im not excited by this at all

AyeDubbleYoo
I really do think 3D is a craze, and if it eventually takes off we're talking a good number of years. Most people don't even have HD, some people in my family don't even have digital.
NG32
Hmmm, a Sky Sports 3d channel, obviously football will be on. I dont know if i can take anymore Chelsea, man u, liverpool and arsenal guff. Sunday Suppliment would be interesting in 3d.
James
I really do think 3D is a craze, and if it eventually takes off we're talking a good number of years. Most people don't even have HD, some people in my family don't even have digital. You see, if I go and buy HD and BluRay and 3D and 5D and 360 degrees 3D panoramic, in twenty years time I won't be able to afford walk-in TV, where you can walk into the screen and interact with the actresses. That is what I'm saving up for.
Dave
Presumably you need a 3D television. Well, duh. It was a rhetorical question. Who's going to watch this?
Lenny
I'm sure I read somewhere that you won't necessarily need to wear the glasses eventually (I don't mean years and years down the line eventually either).
Guest guinness_fiend
Presumably you need a 3D television. Well, duh. It was a rhetorical question. Who's going to watch this? Purpose-built 3D TVs hit the UK market in May/June. Other than that, I believe that 3D specs do the trick. That's what they did in Castlefield (Manchester) when they showed the Manchester United game in 3D a few months back.
Stifler
I'm sure I read somewhere that you won't necessarily need to wear the glasses eventually (I don't mean years and years down the line eventually either). Aye, some TV makers are making a TV with like another screen on top of the screen that makes it 3D without any glasses. The first set of 3DTV's though will have to have glasses which are set to cost extra ontop of the £2k-£3k price for them. At the moment it's just too expensive to even think about getting one. Can't see that having the same in-your-face effect as the glasses tbh...and the glasses are fine for a novelty but would you really want to wear them to watch every programme?
