Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
Yeah, me too. I like Onuoha. Am sure there have been some concerns over his fitness in the past, or has suffered some kind of recurring injury though. 'Least he'll fit in. BoSelecta
Just watched a Jertonghen video, which consisted of 1 tackle and about 15 goals
Guest Shaun
Just watched a Jertonghen video, which consisted of 1 tackle and about 15 goals He's got a great head on him. Would be shocked if he came here, won't happen.
Tooj
Onuoha would be perfect, as he can also play right-back, so when Taylor returns he can play there ahead of Simpson. (If we're planning on using Santon as a left-back)
KDT
Really don't rate Onuoha at all, seems to be another of the CBs who are extremely athletic but not great technically
Smal
Also don't rate Onuoha. Wasn't good for the mackems. There should be better options around
binnsy
i think Onouha is a sensible target, shouldn't be too expensive and is more than capable at fullback and centre half which is handy with a squad as thin as ours.
Dave
Can't see why he'd want to come here tbh.
Guest Heneage
Can't see why he'd want to come here tbh. Because he's wasting away the best years of his career? I'm pretty sure he doesn't even play for the reserves, as they're now an EDS.
Big Geordie
I'd take him.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't even play for the reserves, as they're now an EDS. That's the point though. Everyone's rightly pointing out he'd be good cover in a number of positions, but that still puts him as a squad player. He could probably go somewhere else and play in their first team every week in his favoured position. Like he did at Sunderland.

Would easily be first choice right back and put up a very good fight to partner Colo imo. Certainly wouldn't struggle to get a game.
Dave
Thought Santon was the best choice for right back, with another left back coming in?
Guest Heneage
Thought Santon was the best choice for right back, with another left back coming in? He is, but I don't think that's how the club see it.

Ed's headline are never very accurate to the stories to be honest. He had one earlier, something about Aly Cissokho leaving Lyon as they had agreed to sign Dabo, apparently that came from the Lyon chairman, Ed's linked Cissokho to joining us because of that. I know the Lyon making Cissikho available was true, but linking him to us is just a guess on Ed's part, wouldn't mind it being true like.
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
I think Onuoha would be happy to come here. Played mostly at right back for Sunderland, was a steady defender but offered little in attack. Has incredible athleticism mind and reckon he'd be favoured ahead of Simpson who'll be off sooner rather than later.
Guest bimpy474
Aly Cissokho and Yoann Gourcuff both up for sale apparently. http://www.leprogres.fr/sports/2011/12/24/cissokho-et-gourcuff-sur-le-marche Aly Cissokho and Yoann Gourcuff are approached to leave Lyon in January. Lyon still needs to balance its accounts but buyers are shy. The radius recruitment, Djona Corgnet was quoted, but it is already very expensive. And OL must first sell before you buy. OL left on vacation on a bad note. The total indifference of the players at the stage of Hainaut was inversely related to severe headaches technicians Olympians. The defeat to Valenciennes was badly felt by Rémi Garde, Bernard Lacombe and all the leaders. One game does not act as a barometer. But it can reinforce ideas. And a few days before the opening of the transfer window, it would have been preferable for some to make light of the benefits. Instead, some players did not advance their cause. And both players are also in the eye of the storm. This is Aly Cissokho and Yoann Gourcuff. "There are transfers of players to do," said Jean-Michel Aulas three days ago. There is hardly any doubt now that the two men mentioned above are actually on the market. "We've hired to replace Aly Mouhamadou Dabo," said Jean-Michel Aulas squarely on the side of the channel OL TV. From there, the former side Porto, acquired an incredible rate (15 million) could take the tangent from the month of January. Dortmund and Newcastle are in the running. But a door had been closed for the first time. "We will not fall below a certain price," recalled Bernard Lacombe. In fact, the OL has set its price and would give his side to eight million. That has reduced the English track while Russia would have been activated. The other major issue on the side of Gerland is around Yoann Gourcuff. This is not to go after him, but his performance in Valenciennes has unfortunately confirmed that he was not in the mold of Olympique Lyonnais. This player has too much support in his club. At Valenciennes, Remi Garde Ederson sacrificed, leaving him on the bench on behalf of the rotation. But Yoann Gourcuff has not seized the opportunity. "Yoann has not asked to leave," said Jean-Michel Aulas. But no one in Lyon knows how to treat the case of this playmaker seemed now completely flooded. Arsenal is not the applicant, and in any case has a slew of players (talent) in the middle. Then the OL is considering a loan (with pay provided by the home club) or a transfer. But on this last point, it would mean that the club Jean-Michel Aulas would sacrifice a part of the capital invested in this element (22 million). The radius "purchase", there is the murmur Benjamin Corgnet. Former player and Millery Chasselay now Dijon does not hide his love for the OL, the club at heart. The clause of the player: 7 million. Olympique Lyonnais has no intention of seeing him get mustard on me. So we stop there for now. And Lyon, the first concern will be for sale.
