Dr Venkman
How much would the pair of Rondon and Caicedo cost? Should not be more than 15m. the same caicedo that played at man city? Yep the same one. i have to admit to not seeing him play since, i'm assuming he's improved drastically?

Tbh i've not seen very much of him this season, but he has scored quite a few goals for a poor side, the couple of games i saw he was very good (dont remember which ones though)

Tooj
If Pardew wants to play a lone striker with HBA supporting, surely we won't be signing Gameiro? why ? Because we play plenty of long balls direct passes and Gamerio is hardly the tallest or biggest built is he? I'm not a french football expert, in fact I've rarely seen it since Setanta went bust, but I've seen KG on youtube and he hardly looks like he'd fit into the lone striker role for us. so we'd keep the same style of football with HBA and gameiro ? you are only thinking of the lone striker as the big target man, with the right support it can work, think beardsley/cole (HBA is the nearest i've seen to beardsley). it would mean, from the current personnel, jonas having to push further on and stop spending half the game on jose's toes, nolan would play as he does anyway and barton would have to come into the back area more when we have the ball on the other side. all of them would have to learn to move a bit to take advantage of HBA's drifting. Guest sicko2ndbest
I think a Doyle type striker. Someone who you know what you are going to get and knows the league would complement a striker who would be new to the league
AyeDubbleYoo
I think a Doyle type striker. Someone who you know what you are going to get and knows the league would complement a striker who would be new to the league Doyle for quite a cheap fee, alongside another better striker signing, would be OK IMO. He doesn't score many goals but he works his arse off, runs into the channels and creates space for other people.
madras
I think a Doyle type striker. Someone who you know what you are going to get and knows the league would complement a striker who would be new to the league depends if the plan is to go with a standard 2 man front line as opposed to a forward with HBA playing off. i'd guess we are looking at many possibilities for this summer as if we were to get a top(ish) line striker the requirements to form a game plan round, say, gameiro would be different to sow. Colocho
Doyle? No thanks. We've already got Best and Ameobi. Kevin Doyle is better than both of them. Arguable. What's the point of signing average strikers ffs? Doyle's 27, as well. Would be a terrible signing. We should spend £12-15m on Sow or El-Arabi, and another £7-10 million on someone like Rondon. Guest Roger Kint
Any regular watchers of Genk here? Vossen looks canny on highlights, wondering what he is like in real time. This is probably the first season i have almost completely avoided non English football so dont know much about him, Sow, Rondon etc
