Alan Pardew has not had its dose of French children.

'Vous ne voulez pas un ballon ?'

That scene scared the s*** out of me when I was younger

That movie is so f***ing good. Up until the f***ing spider shows up. Destroys the whole thing.

Indeed. It's like when Rob Zombie makes an awesome movie then gets bored before he writes the ending.

erdinc is the most likely, havent we already dropped out of the race for insomnia?

Regardless of what is said or written about I don't think we will ever drop out of the race for N'Zogbia. Until he's sold somewhere else I'm sure we will be keeping tabs on his situation, haggling with Wigan/him, etc.

Ourselves, Colo Colo & Villarreal linked with Guatemala & Chicago Fire midfielder Marco Pappa.

According to this article about the Gold Cup, he's coming over on trial.

"Midfielder Marco Pappa was one of the players who shone through most for Guatemala, so much so that he's earned himself a trial period with Newcastle in England."

Seen him twice at the Gold Cup, didn't particularly stand out IMO but I've heard he's highly rated in MLS.

TBF, it isn't hard to be highly rated in MLS.

I've put this in the Matuidi thread and sorry if it's old news but

http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/breves2011/20110622_094841_newcastle-veut-matuidi-et-erding.html

"After Hatem Ben Arfa, Yohan Cabaye & Sylvain Marveaux, Newcastle could welcome two new players from Ligue 1. According to our sources, the Magpies are interested in Blaise Matuidi & Mevlut Erding. Manager Alan Pardew confirmed in our paper of "his strong interest" in the St-Etienne player and PSG striker".

Has there been any quotes from Pardew in our press confirming an interest in Matuidi? I've no idea if the "our sources" here is just the agents quotes from the Evening Chronicle, or whether they know a bit more.

Just seems strange Pardew would speak to L'Equipe. And normally if they quote English press, they say in the article, "according to the English press..." rather than "our sources". Weird.

I understand #Celtic have made a bid of around 1.5m to Newcastle for Fraser Forster.

Peanuts. No way we should sell him for that.

Agreed, would be gutted to lose him for such a small fee.

:nope: screw that.

The problem for us is that we've allowed him a taste of the big time with Celtic. I'm sure we'd prefer to have him and Krul fight it out for the first team shirt and move Harper on instead but neither keeper will want to be on the bench next season.

Even with age catching up with Harper I still don't think you can keep Krul and Forster happy, both want to play and won't be content with doing what Harper did when Given was here.

Realistically I'd say £2 million would be about right.
