Village Idiot
The Old Firm must be the greatest place on Earth to play for a middling footballer. You get to look like Pelé padding your stats against League One level opposition, fill up your trophy cabinet and get to play in the CL (for a bit). Guest
eh? Average players get to become "heroes" in a crap league, win medals, play in front of big crowds every other week, and a few Champions League games.
Colocho
James is different class to Harper. Agreed.
Dokko
http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Newcastle-s-Steve-Harper-blocked-from-Celtic-move-to-replace-Artur-Boruc-article526057.html They sold Boruc for £3m, were not going to sell him for any less than a couple of mill, so a pretty pointless move for them. Also I can't see there being too much difference in wage for what Harper is on and what Boruc was on, in fact I could easily see us paying Harper more, so again, strange target for them. QBG
22 year old midfielder from 1860 Munich. Can barely find anything on him, all I can say is that his age would mean he would fit the mould.

STM
It also says he was the leagues top scorer last year and "pacey" which is definately something we need. Interesting that it says we have bid 1.5m... sounds like us

Let's not forget Roque Santa Cruz barely scored for a much more creative Bayern Munich before joining a relatively drab Blackburn side where he scored for fun. Interesting that it says we have bid 1.5m... sounds like us If he's pacey, hungry and level headed in front of goal, young yet experienced and out to prove a point, he's definitely worth some scouting. Sounds promising.
