Dave
Never a straight red in a million years. Football is turning in to basketball ffs. Agreed, definite yellow though so it's a bit irrelevant.

Dave
I didn't see the first half but it doesn't sound like we'll be missing much.
TRon
I said yesterday that I was worried about his actual football ability, i.e. ball control, retention under pressure, passing ability etc. Yes he can get into goal scoring positions but he's basically shit isn't he? Newcastle Fan
He needs to be sent out on loan for a while.
Guest WashyGeordie
We actually looked better when he went off, obviously up until we conceeded again.
Guest axel
Give him a fucking break. He was all over the place and worked his arse off before he had 2 big mistakes in a few minutes. He's young and is still learning.

Kanj
Sorry its really hard to give someone a break when they are coming in to help shore up the CM and given the chance to start and establish something of their injury plagued career at the club. Youth? OK a mistake or 2 - but he put in 2 horrible challenges with 1 yellow and the other at a minimum a yellow. You need to have the f**kn brainpower to realize you are given a chance in a tricky fixture during a time where we are short on numbers - dont make stupid tackles and shoot yourself in the foot even further. No sympothy for sending offs - esp ones like that.

If I'd seen even a glimpse of midfield ability I'd be more than willing to give him a break but he looks like a shit footballer in the same way Nolan and Ryan Taylor always did. We have moved beyond players of his standard.

Joe_F
Coulda/shoulda scored two in the first half as well. Miss-hit volley and mis-controlled when clean through.

Aye, we'll just have to contend with Smith instead We should fast track Mehdi into the first team as a priority. From what I've heard about him he does have the technique to play in midfield. I was disappointed he wasn't on the bench today tbh.
junkhead
Even without the through ball for their goal and the brainless tackle, it was evident that he simply lacks the agility, positional discipline, intelligence, composure, quality on the ball and all other possible qualities to ever resemble a good central midfielder. He should prove that he can be relied on consistently in the reserves before getting another chance with the first team.
