Guest ObiChrisKenobi
None of this would be an issue if Gomes wasn't so unstable. Not 'awful', just wrong. Agreed. Looked in to me in real time tbh. Talking about 40mm of error. Images of Dave and his Laser Ruler measure the distance on his 54" TV.

Ameritoon
Terrible call there, linesman was in no position to make that call. True, but Gomes deserves that for being such a clown. The guy can make the most impossible saves in the World and be the best player on the field but he'll still end up making a blunder. He doesn't deserve to be scored on if he wasn't actually scored on, man. . He deserves to sold and never play in a legitimate competition again, because he's obviously not good enough. johnnypd
sandro's had about 3 or 4 good opportunities to break since his goal and he's just stopped and passed to someone else. great advice harry.
Dave
Oh, and the linesman is in as good enough position as could be expected. He has a good enough view.

Interpolic
I'm convinced the officials have been influenced by the crowd there, they seemed to stand and look at it for a good while.

OoOGazOoO
Unreal tbh. The linesman didn't even signal for a goal at the beginning then changes his mind...wtf? It did seem that he took his time to decide if it was a goal or not.
johnnypd
Oh, and the linesman is in as good enough position as could be expected. He has a good enough view. agreed. as if he would ever be on the byline in that situation. and even if he was, his view would be blocked by the goal post. Dave
Can't understand this 'can't give it if he wasn't sure' business. Obviously he was sure, I doubt he was saying to the referee 'well I dunno, might as well give it though.'.
Mr. Snrub
I'm suprised they haven't said allowing the goal was the right decision just because it makes the title race more interesting.

Ameritoon
70% blame on Gomes 5% blame on the lino 25% blame on Blatter I hate Gomes, but this is ridiculous, the linesman had no business making that call. He obviously had no clue.

In one of the recaps I saw it clearly over the line, could have been the camera angle though. Still, serves gomez right for being such a flappyhandsky. M4
Oh, and the linesman is in as good enough position as could be expected. He has a good enough view. Indeed. And again bring in something like Hawkeye and that would take pressure off the linesmen as well.
Ishmael
Probably looked over the line from where the linesman was standing.

He says fuck all at the beginning then suddenly signals for a goal? Anyway Chelsea will now win.
