Village Idiot
Interesting, wasn't that surprised about the Da Silvas getting a run out in the wings, but that center midfield looked suicidal. Props to Ferguson for getting it right I guess. Still, Arsenal FFS. Don't f*** up the league at least. Ah well, I'll amuse myself reading Arsenalmania devouring itself in despair while I have dinner (schadenfreude ftw).
Ronaldo
Wasn't really a shut up shop situation tbh, you angry chap. Assumed you didn't watch it. They played possession football and went forward often albeit without busting a gut. I did watch it. They were passing the ball around in their own half for most of the final 10. It's pathetic, and one of the reasons they've failed to get the winner in key games away from home - the players are used to spending two thirds of every game sitting back. Disco
Oh go on then. I'll treat myself to a bit San Lorenzo v Boca. Hopefully be a few fireworks with it being a classico.

Si
Arsenal really annoy me, they could dominate the league with some of the players they have but the faults are blatant to everyone but Wenger. Sign Given from from City and sign a poacher to carry some of the burden from Van Persie, if Arsenal signed a clinical unfancy goal scorer who was only interested in getting on the end of some of the passes/crosses they generate then it would be scary. Ronaldo
I don't think a typical poacher would suit that team. I do wish people would stop going on about Given going to Arsenal. City won't sell him to a rival, and he isn't a top keeper anymore, anyway.

Si
still think Shay could do a job them, he's better than what they have for certain.
Pilko
I think Chesney will become a top keeper, but he's far too raw to be playing in the Champions League against Barca etc. They could do with a more experienced custodian for him to learn off and eventually displace. JH
They need to replace Campbell and Lehmann. Until they do, they'll not be successful. Oh, and they need to stop this 'perfect football' s***. You'd think they were 3-0 up the way they were playing in the second half against Man U. Nobody would challenge for a 50-50, or run into the box as an option. It was all slow, build up s*** and Man U ate it all up easily.

Flip
Ganso back after 6 months of injury and comes in during the second half and scored the winner. He also started the set up for the first Santos goal who won 2-1. This kid is something truly special. Hope he keeps it up!

Guest neesy111
Arsenal are a team that need the right players and right conditions to play right going forward. Though it is 100% Wenger's fault that he hasn't bought a good keeper and defence as he's had the money for last 4 seasons to do so.

In a way, it must be quite frustrating being an Arsenal fan, knowing that you're only a couple of players away from being a genuine top team, yet the manager (for whatever reason) doesn't seem to act upon this. They need a keeper, a big/fast centreback, a strong ball winner, and a goalscorer. In other words, a whole new spine. Ideal targets for those positions: Krul, Coloccini, Tiote and Leon Best.
