SGSC
We're allowed to say if he's having a s**** game, which he is. No one's saying 'sell him'. I know, i was just countering an overreaction with another overreaction. He's been ok i think, one mistake leading to a goal shouldnt cloud peoples judgement on how he has peformed overall. wormy
I suppose it's the way it'll be. If he didn't have these shaky games between his stormers, he wouldn't be at Newcastle United.

But he has been poor today I can understand where you are coming from in terms of his usual standards, but comparing him with the rest of the team, hes been ok. Whatever, i'm probably just being kind.
Numbers
Too much Christmas pud yesterday tbh.
johnnypd
thought he was the same as usual tbh. he plays a very high risk game, usually it comes off and he's a credit to the team, but occasionally it causes problems as it did once or twice today. he did have plenty of good moments though. Guest neesy111
Was ok, but can't do mistakes like that especially when we just did an awful error a few mins before that.

Guest neesy111
The guy has 1 flaw in his game in that, he thinks hes got more time than he has when he wins the ball. While he gets away with it a lot, when he doesn't sometimes it can be fatal like it was today.

Guest BooBoo
He played well but another error cost us a goal. Generally speaking he plays far better away from home than at SJP.

buzza
Barton has a negative effect o tiote and they both want to stay deep in midfield when we whould be looking for one o them to move forward like Nolan does when in the middle. A teaM IS THE SUM OF IT'S PARTS NOT JUST THE INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS... Nolan + Tiote please with barton on right...

Frazzle
After the first 10 minutes,he was fine. The first ten minutes that saw us 2-0 down. One of those goals was Krul's fault though remember?
joeyt
Always get the impression that's on the verge of losing his temper. He did seem to lose his temper once late in the 2nd half. That was because Balotelli kicked about 3 times before he went down during one passage of play. Felt he was very unlucky for their second that it hit Nolan's heel
joeyt
When it was 3-1, a corner came out to him and he did this fantastic flick straight to Simpson. Very showboaty

mrmojorisin75
The guy has 1 flaw in his game in that, he thinks hes got more time than he has when he wins the ball. While he gets away with it a lot, when he doesn't sometimes it can be fatal like it was today. He has another flaw, or did yesterday; total lack of urgency chasing back when they broke away. He literally looked like he either didn't care or didn't know which person to track (so didn't bother). Remember him busting a lung once in the 2nd half and getting back in on Tevez but that was about it.
durhamunigeordie
Is he on 9 yellows now then? If so could do with him getting booked against Wigan and getting the inevitable 2 game ban out the way. No games are easy but would much rather he missed West Ham at home and Stevenage than Sunderland away and Spurts at home.

Guest BooBoo
The way he's going, he's very likely to miss the Sunderland game. If he picks up another yellow at Wigan, I'd drop him out for both Stevenage and West Ham. With Carroll and Barton also walking disciplinary tightropes, it seems almost certain we'll play the mackems with one of them missing.
