Smith seemed like he was stealing a wage from the beginning. Butt we'd have to watch some awful performance and then read about how he was every pundits MOTM and awarded bonus points on FPL. At least he provided the greatest overhead kick of all time. When I picture Jack Colback I picture him celebrating against us as a mackem despite him playing for us for three years. Colback didn't have any ability whatsoever. I watched the least amount of football during the Smith days.. so my memories of him are hazy. I don't remember him having any ability whatsoever mind. See, it's funny, I felt like I didn't see Smith's legs had gone properly until year three when we were back up. Prior to that he was relatively mobile, he just couldn't read the play effectively enough to get there. Mind you, I don't know if it says more for the Championship of that era or the team we had that fucking Alan Smith could play central midfield and a team still get promoted.
