olliemort
He didn't have much to do but he stood up to anichebe a couple of times. Good display for his first game back. It will be interesting to see how he does against Chelsea if he's picked
nufcjmc
I wonder what will happen first he is replaced by one of the injured players coming back or he does something rash to get red carded/ breaks down like an alpha romeo? Wouldn't be surprised if we see him and Coloccini there for as long as he's fit now with Mbemba going in at left-back when he's back. well the fact they are mentioning scans I recon its weeks for mbemba, and also I recon its colback at leftback as soon as he is fit because he has to play obviously..... Wallsendmag
Absolutely brilliant today. Him and Coloccini are still out 2 best centre halves combination. Special mention to Shelvey, Aarons, Tiote and Mitrovic today as well. I packed in my season ticket in the summer and today was only the 2nd game I've attended all season but when you're actually watching something for yourself, rather than what some TV director is making you watch you see things in a different light and I've certainly seen Mitrovic in a different light after today. Newcastle Fan
Thought he was brilliant today to be honest, I think he's been pretty good for us for quite a while now but never really fit enough to play a good run of games.
Kanj
He played good. Cool. How about he stay fit and be a reliable player for a change. How about he cuts out his random red card versus a top side in the first half. He's a 30 year old defender not some youngster by the way.

Sima
Played well apart from that misjudged header at the end of the game. He's like a dog with a balloon at times.
1964
I might have been my stream but he looked like he was going grey. Had a decent game though the silver fox
Guest Hog
I was pleasantly surprised with Taylor's performance yesterday, if he can stay fit and concentrate on keeping in top condition he could be the defender we've needed - he will deffo need to up his training/concentration regime to what it's been in the past though. Guest
It's standard Taylor though. We get this for a few games, he'll score from a corner, then he'll make a massive rick/get sent-off, followed by a season-ending injury.

Figures 1-0 Football
Was most surprised with Taylor yesterday, thought he was excellent - although to be fair I think I could have defended against West Brom yesterday as they were terrible and had absolutely no attacking threat. triggs
Think there's a massive overreaction to his display like. Any defender in the World would have looked good up against West Brom yesterday
Cronky
One to two dodgy moments, but it looked like he was up for the challenge and took some responsibility. I've not always had that feeling with Tayls, so it was good to see.
Chicken Dancer
Him and Coloccini have always seemed to do well together for some reason. Played very well yesterday. Stay fit please.
Interpolic
Didn't even look like he had back to work blues yesterday, which is admirable after so long off on annual leave.

Kanj
Think there's a massive overreaction to his display like. Any defender in the World would have looked good up against West Brom yesterday He also played good against <enter team name> before he got himself <injured or sent off> and it's a shame we can't rely on him. A comment made for the past 5 years. I'd give him more credit if we weren't in a defensive crisis with this club thanks to the likes of him and Willo being an inconsistent or injury prone crock or plain terrible. Must move on.
