Dokko
It's nice to hear the manager communicating and giving ideas of where he's taking this squad in terms of signings etc. Mind you, he reeeealllllyyy likes to talk I think if he's been watching us previously he'd see that communication is key when dealing with the fans, so basically he's over cooking it slightly. As long as his words are backed up by actions (from the board) then it will work, the problem comes when he's talked a good story and we've nothing to show for it when the window closes. Guest neesy111
SWP and Santa Cruz linked this morning. Two players I want this club to stay well away from.
jdckelly
tbh every single city outcast is been linked with half the prem so wouldn't pay much attention to it
Robster
Peter Taylor is the sign of the way this window is going to go. Plenty of promise but nothing is going to come to fruition.

jdckelly
That was one thing i liked about Hughton, he kept his mouth shut regarding transfers, even when we had signed them. being fair to pardew it seems likes hes talking every day about potential transfers but its more to do with the amount of games and thus pre and post match pressers there have been, and what else are journos going to ask
wormy
Hughton would have fielded just as many questions on the subject but been a lot more coy and a lot less rent-a-quote in his responses. Not that I'm using any stick to beat Pardew with, but he does seem to be pushing a bit too hard on the quotes side.

BeloEmre
Taken for Toontastic: Just had an interesting encounter. Away in France skiing and just had a drink with a man who is an agent and represents couple of players in prem and abroad. And he's heard on the grapevine that NUFC are to make a MASSIVE cash youth signing from abroad in January. More money for Pardew than we think. Also, regarding Pardew's quotes, I don't really see the harm. As someone else pointed out, part of his remit is clearly to improve the communication and he's doing that (and then some). It's only fair to wait and see how his quotes compare with what actually happens. It took us a while to get accustomed to Hughton's style (I remember a fair few frustrated people once the secrecy began), and it will take a while to get used to Pardew. I'm still struggling to warm up to Pardew, but I think we have to try to be reasonable.

Chris Banaloona
I thought Ryan Taylor was pretty "Wow". Not the good kind unfortunately. At the time, especially considering his performances against us, getting the money for Zog and RTaylor seemed good business. Obviously he is very limited but for the outlay he hasn't been as bad as people make out.

SGSC
While i agree that he hasn't been as bad as made out, it was a pretty shitty signing considering the crucial time it was made at. We needed to bolster our squad with players that could make an impact and help our bid to stay in the Premier league and instead, we got a very average player who had knocked past a few free kicks against us, which btw, in no way should influence whether you bring in a player or not.
