Dan Gleebals
Scoreline might have been harsh, the ref shite but I dont think either are a valid excuse when personally, I think we should have sent out a full strength side.
joeyt
Was quite weird having the away fans in a different area. They only seemed to have one song, which they just changed the words to depending on how many they scored. The atmosphere by our lot was non-existent, even in the first half when it was 0-
Cronky
Disappointed that Barton saw fit to pick up a needless booking. We saw a return of the old Joey last night. If the game had gone on another 10 minutes, the odds are he’d have got a second yellow. In fact, he was lucky not to get sent off for that foul where it looked like he deliberately kneed Eastmond in the back of the thigh. It felt like a similar situation to when he got sent off against Liverpool. We were being embarrassed by a superior team, and he seemed to get resentful. Either in his mind, he thinks the opposition are taking the piss, or he’s jealous of players who he thinks are no better than him, but who are still playing for a top team. Whatever, he’s got to cut that out.

Nobody
In the Guardian sports section today, Louise Taylor starts her article with "Arsenal crushed Newcastle... despite Wenger sending out largely a reserve side". FFS Louise. Arsenal kept 8 players from the weekend IIRC, while we kept two; the keeper and a CB.

Arguably only one starter, the good thing is that our squad is bigger than previous years and we do have the luxury of being able to send out second choice players who are better than previous years. The atmosphere by our lot was non-existent, even in the first half when it was 0-0 The Arsenal fans were some of the worst i've seen at St James'. 4-0 up and I couldn't hear the fuckers. Our fans weren't much better like. Think their were a lot of neutral students in with the cheap tickets.
