West Brom 3 - 1 Newcastle United - 05/12/10 - post match reaction from page 38

For me hughton must take alot of the blame for today, clearly set the team up too defend way too deep and we gave them way too much respect for a team we should be beating.

Hopefully today is the last we see of shola starting too, ranger much more worth a start.

All of this.

Nobody has really wanted this today, exactly the same as at Bolton except they had better forwards and took their chances. This could have easily been another hammering, thoroughly underwhelming and unacceptable.

The team misses Barton and Nolan incredibly.

Aye been no drive/urgency from anyone.

At least Loven has put in a decent shift today. Puts Shola to shame.

Shola is fucking waste, why waste 45 mins with him on the pitch offering nowt and then taking him off. We wasted 45 mins.  Fuck off.  JUst fuck off.

Our usual performers such as Enrique, Tiote and Carroll have underperformed today and so has everyone else to a man. We've had chances because West Brom are crap at the back, but only one team ever really looked interested.

We have a tough run of fixtures after this. Hughton needs funds to strengthen in January because a couple of injuries in any position could derail our season.

Just end the match now ffs, we're allowing a team who a blind man could see are absolutely nothing special in the slightest practice their attacks until they finally succeed. Enrique's the only one that can come out of this without shame. Our midfield and striker's work ethic has been shameful.

At their place? Really? With key players out?

Somewhat optimistic.

The one positive is that we've still had chances to score. I'd be more worried if we didn't even have that.

But on the flip side, it shows we've got absolutely no one else if Carroll's not firing.
