Beren
I don't think Hughton is cynical enough for todays football. Not sure just how in jest that comment was, but I very much admire that Hughton has at no point come across as naive or unworldly (with respects to knowing what a bastard Ashley is!) - he was just unflinching in his personality/getting on with the job and not compromising his way of managing the players. ATB
The Mirror thinks he might get the Cardiff job. Would like that very much, hoping for that Would really much want him in the game again. but rather not in the PL because then he would face us and it would hurt to see him for another team... Colocho
Every time a Championship manager loses their job, he is linked. Hopefully he'll get an opportunity eventually.
David28
Wonder if he might take Smith to Cardiff knowing he's done well in the Championship for some time.

Colocho
Every time a Championship manager loses their job, he is linked. Hopefully he'll get an opportunity eventually. Is that because he is championship manager level? Of course. Obviously seen as a gamble by a lot of clubs. Preston employed Phil Brown, Sheffield United took on Micky fucking Adams and Scunthorpe that Knill bloke - look what happened, they got relegated. Palace went for Dougie Freedman instead of Hughton, poor bloke must be wondering what he has to do to get a job ...
Dokko
There's been a lot of jobs go since he left us, funny how he's not got one yet, maybe Ashley was correct and he's not a manager.

Palace went for Dougie Freedman instead of Hughton, poor bloke must be wondering what he has to do to get a job ... Scunthorpe took Knill because of the money. Low wages, didn't demand much in terms of a transfer kitty, and has a history of finding free/cheap bargain. Scunthorpe didn't go down because they appointed Knill, they went down because they refused to keep their best players the previous summer. Absolute zero chance that someone like Hughton would go to manage Scunthope.

Guest sicko2ndbest
He is an average manager He dropped lucky with nufc Ashley was right to axe him Great bloke very dignified and I'll never forget what he did for us, however he relied on the senior players too much and wouldn't/couldn't stand up to them or the board Hope he gets the job

lovejoy
Great bloke. The fact that he hasn't been given a job yet with the among that have became available speaks volumes. Still hope he does well wherever he goes.
