Disco
What else could he have done? Apart from start Taylor right wing which is much the muchness. He loaned out a right winger without replacing him. Could've played the lad we had on the bench that played right mid for large swathes of last season too. Daft to be chopping and changing your settled back 4. Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
Don't see much wrong with what he did today. Understand why he went with Simpson and Saylor, unfortunately for him, Saylor was just shit.
wormy
1 win in 9. Upgrade? Fucking hell. Can't believe that stat. How have we stayed in the top half?
JH
I've defended him alot of this past few weeks, but he got it spectacularly wrong today. It was obvious from early on that it was a 4-4-2, with Simpson on the right wing, and it completely nullified his threat. So what does he do? When Enrique gets injured, he moves Simpson to his second most inffectual position Throw in a bit of Lovenkrands wing action and we've got the perfect fuck up. At one point today, the team on the pitch was: Harper Taylor Willi Colo Simpson Loven Nolan Tiote Jonas Ameobi Best It's almost laughable.

Guest Roger Kint
1 win in 9. Upgrade? f***ing hell. Can't believe that stat. How have we stayed in the top half? Cos only 2 were defeats in the league and 1 of those 9 games was a cup game. Plus we won the 2 games before it so its 2 defeats in 10 in the league really which looks better. EthiGeordie
It just shows how unfairly we sack Hughton....... I don't think Pardow is a lesser manager but he is equal to Hughton.... it is just Hughton sacked unjustily
Ronaldo
Hughton was a complete arsehole, though. Pardew's at least a nice fella.
JH
Oh, and you know who you could really have done with today Alan? Yeah, that's right. Routledge. That's so frustrating. Players out of position all over the place, and concentrated attacks down one side of the pitch which were quickly sniffed out - all because we were missing a pacy player for the right hand side of midfield. You couldn't make it up

Agreed, all nice fella's shag players wives (allegedly) and hangs around waiting for somebody to get sacked because he's been lined up for his job. You couldn't make it up Well said. Absolutely baffling decision to get rid of Routledge. We never learn. It sort of reminds me of when we used to loan out players and not put a clause in that they couldn't play against us. And they'd score against us, time and time again. Don't release players that you can't replace. Better yet, don't get rid until you've bought the replacement. It's not difficult.

Cajun
On Ferguson: "I’m actually buoyed by Fergie’s performance when he came on, he added a little bit to us and perhaps when Enrique came off I perhaps could have brought him on. "It was only his youth and the fact that he hasn’t got any experience in a game like that which held me back but he’s got talent and he showed that when he came on." Fair enough imo.
