Jagten
Why in gods name did we shift from the brilliantly effective midfield 3, where jonas was outstanding, to hoofball shite, removing jonas from the game?
Beren
The high line bollocks against pacy strikers. He got fair warning against WBA. Andy Johnson coming on to aid diving pricks like Duff on the field should have set alarm bells ringing.
Jagten
He is a good motivator, but tactically, he is one dimensional.
Guest palnese
I hope he persists with the 4-3-3 and doesn't use today as an excuse to change things, as the first half was the best I've seen us play away from home for a long time. We can't keep including Shola, though. We just can't. Yep. I'd rather play Loven/Ranger/Best up front if we're going 4-3-3. Shola is not good enough. It really is that simple. Guest Dontooner
It was bloody obvious they were counterattacking and they were in NumberS. We should have sat deep and crowded our own half and play them on the counter. Pardew didnt even change it when they equalised.... good that he learned how to play the team into possession and progressive attacking football. But now he has to fine tune it because it doesnt work throughout the match it would leave you too exposed at times.
Fenham Mag
Needs to work the shit out of that defence in training this week. They looked like they had never played with each other before.
Tiresias
Seems to keep making the same mistakes sometimes. He obviously has some tactical flexibility, our formation at start was unusual, and worked, but second half got it so wrong and then worst is he didn't fix it. Numbers
Should have changed things when we went 2-1 down, was obvious to everyone (except Pardew) we were getting bummed.
Tachikoma
Fucking shite pards! Bringing perch on when there was still enough time was fucking shocking I dunno, that actually made sense to me. Guthrie had totally lost it at that point and was just giving the ball away for nothing. Pardew should have been telling the players to slow down the game in the second half, instead we got cocky and paid for it.

I think i would have been tempted to take Shola off, put Best in the middle and play Obertan on the left (if he can cut inside he might be a little more inclined to take a man on). Think we could have countered then with Obertan and Ben Arfa down the flanks.

stoli
Some similarities as the Chelsea defeat. Very vulnerable to the counter-attacks on our flanks with our fulbacks caught out. No change in tactics. Not learning from the alarm bells ringing as all could see we were being exploited.
Gallowgate Toon
When did he change our 4-3-3 system? Before or after the goal? Same question for our hoofball.
JH
I'll flip if he tries and defends that performance. Needs to come out, hold his hands up and say he got the 2nd half wrong.
Guest neesy111
He doesn't react until it's too late when things are not going well. Like last week, the Cabaye injury saved him as it forced him to changing tactics.

Mick
He got the first half and starting 11 spot on, Stroller was shit but he didn't have many options, if any. First half we played a mix of 4-5-1 and 4-4-3 which meant our midfield was solid and the defence coped with everything they could throw at us. They made changes and instead of us keeping the shape that had served us so well, we changed to 4-4-2 and our midfield which had been so strong and gave us the foundation to take 3 points was undone. Our 2 central midfielders in the 2nd half did nothing because they were left exposed badly which then left the centre of our defence exposed. Pardew has cost us the game today, from a winning position we gave away 5 goals and that is pathetic. I don't think his substitutions had any effect, either or positive, the game changed because our formation changed.

Alarmingly was the fact it took 20 mins for Pardew to realise.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
AVB, Hodgson, Lambert and now Jol have bumraped him tactically. It doesn't take a tactical genius to know how to play when the opposition don't have any centre backs.
Guest Craig-NUFC
Think a lot of this could have been solved by dropping the defence and central midfielders a little deeper. Would have liked to have seen us keep the 4-3-3, put Best up top and replace Ameobi with Ferguson as he could then help out Santon since he looked to be struggling after giving away the penalty.
