Still not sure why he didn't gave Lovenkrands and Obertan a chance yesterday.

Because neither has shown any evidence this season to suggest they are up to it?

Both are attacking players and we needed a goal with 10 minutes left to play. In come Taylor, Ferguson and Gosling...

The three who he decided to take off were just as baffling.

Pardew is by some distance the coolest manager we've had. Love the man's style. Well groomed, smartly dressed. I bet his breath is persistently minty fresh.

Tastes of Ashley's sputum now again though like.

well at least the owners are in charge of the transfers atm, and they are buying the right type of players that prefer to play on the deck. I think in time Pardew will be replaced as the owners ,  i would think , also prefers and will benefit from us playing smooth free flowing footy ..Likely to do a Spurs at some point(Manager wise). Look at the bigger picture they are steering us towards a AJAX or Arsenal model where they buy value and sell players at inflated prices, while keeping a good core. If you want to sell your players at inflated prices like spurs or ajax , you need your team playing good footy, makes the absolute difference in market value of the players.

Pardew will not leave as long as we are top half and he keeps getting his low salary.

short sightedness , look at the bigger picture

Most of those wins for Roeder and Souness would include the Europa League.

They were still wins, 2 of the defeats for Pardew were against Stevenage and Brighton.

Another reason to have a dig at Pardew.

Lets see the league records.

Eh?

Some managers having a better win percentage than others means a sum total of toss is what I meant.

Different times, different squads, different expectations. O0

Ray Wilkins took charge of two games eight years apart. What a daft comparison.

Anyway, I never said anything about win percentage. I was merely comparing the records of our last three managers to take charge of 50+ games with the club in the top flight.

50 games in charge for Pardew now.

W19 D15 L16 38.00% wins

FWIW, Souness (83 games):

W36 D18 L29 43.37% wins

Roeder (72 games):

W33 D24 L15 45.83% wins

:shifty:

If you work those records out a 3 points for a win and a point for a draw, regardless of the competition. Pardew has the worst record, Roeder would be on 1.7 points per game, Souness would be on 1.52 points per game and Pardew would be on 1.44 points per game.

You were the one who was hinting at the standard of the opposition, does that only work against certain managers?
