Wullie
How can you argue with someone whose understanding of the game is so poor? I'm not being funny or even trying to be harsh, but honestly. Might as well talk football with my grandma.
Guest Deadmau5
47 Points and 9 games left. 28 points to play for. How fun wouldnt it be to just go all out Swansea-style with Santon, Cissè, Ba, Ben arfa, Cabaye in the Silva-role, bombing forward. Could fail spectacularily. Or it could be a CL-ticket. Would have been fun either way. Cabaye isn't and never will be a Silva type of player. That's a daft comparison. If you think we can overtake Arsenal now by bombing forward and leaving the likes of Williamson vulnerable, you need looking at, bro. Yeah lets just turtle up and hoof it instead bro, sounds safer. Mr. Snrub
Think he means we've conceded a lot so going more positive would mean even more goals conceded. Not true imo, but I can see the reasoning. Going more positive = taking more risks = shipping more goals Simple equation really Nothing to do with the fact we had the most in form centre back pairing in the league and weren't conceding many until Taylor got injured, now we're having to play a championship at best replacement. Also have a new LB settling into the league and had our first choice central midfield missing for about a month.

What's that mean? The way I read it is he think of Newcastle as a midtable-club and is clearly surprised that we are even in this race for a EL-place. I cant help but feel that Pardew would have felt more comfortable just cruising midtable. Last week he said losing to Arsenal could be a good thing as we didnt have to worry about the CL

Guest Deadmau5
"It was one win, when you are looking it like that - one game down, one win, clean sheet. It's perfect. Pardew seems to love the clean sheet, like. Nothing wrong with that mind, but I get the feeling 1 goal is more than enough, clean sheet is more important than scoring several, case in point all the times we have turned to horseshit after scoring once. Safer that pretending Cabaye's one of the best players in the world and our defenders can cope with being one-on-one on the counter.

WE could have conceded plenty in those games when Saylor was fit as well. We got mullered at QPR, most teams just don't have the finishers to make it count whereas we do. The football has been like this for the vast majority of the season. Packed defence with backs to the wall, flash of brilliance from Ba and a goal from nowhere.
