They won the 2008 "AFC Challenge Cup" which is basically a charity competition for the 20 shittest teams in Asia which allows one of them to get direct qualification to the Asian Cup proper. It's like the Intertoto only Asian and for national teams. India overcame such powerhouses such as Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Myanmar to get their place. Aye was just reading. How daft. Poor Kinda pisses me off that none of our relegation rivals have Asian players we can steal for a month. Apparently his knee is fucked from repeated operations and he has a maximum 4 years left as a professional footballer. Probably won't make Brazil 2014 so he's decided not to bother. As long as teams are stupid enough to keep giving him space, and after 6 years they still do it, he'll keep scoring. The frequency of his contributions has surprised me, yes.
