JH
Get Lassana Diarra on an emergency loan. Emergency? We're in the middle of a transfer window We signed Mike Williamson on an emergency loan during a transfer window. Wasn't that because we were incredibly short on central defenders and needed him to play in a match that night, but couldn't finalise the deal in time? Ronaldo
That was it, yes. The Palace game.
BONTEMPI
All we can do is drop Barton in Tiotes position and hope Gosling is good enough to fill his place. Just anything to avoid playing Smith

Yes, just pointing out it was an emergency loan in a transfer window.

ponsaelius
It was because paperwork wise a loan deal was far easier to complete than a permanent transfer wasn't it? Seem to remember we proceeded to complete it permanently that night.
Disco
Can see us getting pillaged by Spurs as a result of this. The thought of Modric against Smith makes me slightly queasy.
Guest sicko2ndbest
Disappointed. Thought he stood a chance albeit slight Big loss. You were 95% sure it would be overturned on the first page. Not the only one rewriting history mind. In hindsight, i was 95% sure it wasnt a red card and 90% sure it wasnt even a foul Once the decision was made, the fact that he left the ground was always going to go against him particularly bearing in mind what the refs had told the players at the start of the season

cubaricho
Barton will drop into Tiote's position with Nolan also central and we'll have to live with it.

JH
It'll obviously be a straight swap. Tiote out, Smith in. Really can't see Pardew not playing Smith.

Hanshithispantz
Smith mightn't be the worst idea for the derby imo, will get rioped appart againast the spuds though, that games pretty much down the drain now

But his committed play will pressure the mackems. He'll pop up anywhere with his non-stop action.
themanupstairs
Fuck the FA. I say it's the PFA or LMA that should review cases like this. How many in the FA played football? The other two consist of current pro's who are maybe in a better position to judge.
BONTEMPI
It makes more sense to play Saylor in Tiotes position rather than Smith. I'm sure he coud do a decent job there away from home.

wormy
But won't most of them have their own bias to/against certain players, teams and referees? I agree there should be a change, but wouldn't think that'd be a good way of going.
