Segun Oluwaniyi
Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri 1h Chelsea will bid 30m € + Torres for Cavani, according to Sky Italy That's probably closer to 45 million as you can assume Chelsea will be paying almost all of Torres's wages. Mole_Toonfan
Chelsea never learn.... Buy players built for build up and possession. Then buy strikers built for direct play and crossing. First Torres, then Ba and now Cavani. If the stupid twats had any sort of brain at all they would get a forward who actually contributes to build up play. Mole_Toonfan
I have seen Cavani well over 50 times.... Still fact remains he excells in open space and direct play even if he is competent in build up and yes he is much more well rounded but doesn't mean much. Assumptions are bad mkkkay. Mole I don't want to be that guy, but sometimes I just can't believe you've seen all these players play over 50 times. Cavani is great in the build up as he is capable of getting deep and getting the ball and turning and opening up spaces. He's actually excellent in opening up space and makes smart runs. To say he's better in direct play isn't necessarily true, sure Napoli plays a bit more direct than many teams in the Italian league, but I have no doubt that Cavani would fit perfectly into Chelsea as he does very well wide where he has played many times for Uruguay. Getting someone like him is exactly what a team like Chelsea needs as they have Lukaku, Ba and Torres in the central position and Moses is the next in line in the wide positions. They'll be able to rotate a lot at the front especially if Torres goes and Schurrle arrives too.
Mole_Toonfan
Nah not all these players but Cavani i have seen countless times. Be it Napoli as they are consistently on ESPN i watch more Serie A than PL. Or for Uruguay be it Olympics, qualifiers or Friendlies that are televised although he doesn't perform for them as for some reason he plays out wide. He's very good in build up for a man his size in fact he reminds me a lot of Batistuta in style. Fact remains though i don't believe you are getting the best out of Cavani or the 3 behind him with the style of play they will use. The term opposites attract doesn't ring true here, someone like Benzema or Lewandowski would be better fit IMO. Maybe even Ibra if they are willing to match his wages. Flip
I'd love to see Benzema leave Real. Benzema needs to go to a team where he can be the main man, such an excellent player.

Mole_Toonfan
I still fail to understand this notion that the media hates Suarez.... didn't seem like they hated him when he scored that goal against NUFC and everyone was stroking his cock for weeks on end. Not the media's fault he's a bit of a twat who happened to bite a arm.
