Ste
It is probably the same practice we follow. Look after the pennies and all that.
Tiresias
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/10537577/Newcastle-United-v-Stoke-City-Alan-Pardews-team-exceeding-expectations-and-eyeing-a-place-in-Europe.html Newcastle’s form has mirrored that of their playmaker Yohan Cabaye. The France international was desperate to leave the club at the end of last season and went on strike in the summer when a £10.1m bid from Arsenal was rejected by Ashley. But the midfielder has refocused since that unpleasant episode and has been hugely impressive, something Pardew feels is a just reward for the club’s refusal to be bullied into selling him. The club have a gentlemen’s agreement in place with Cabaye and his agent which means he will not agitate to leave again in the January window, although Pardew does not see why he would want to. “He's in an environment where he's got pole position and he’s benefiting from that,” he said. “You don't always get that. You can get lost at some clubs [and just be a squad player].” I assume it was a 'one more season' style arrangement then.
Klaus
He is playing better this season and improving, his value will only increase as the season continues, probably why we want to hold him until the summer.
jdckelly
why in gods name would Arsenal want another central midfielder, they're not short.
Klaus
why in gods name would Arsenal want another central midfielder, they're not short. It hardly seems a high priority for them like, a more regular goalscorer/a centre half would make more sense.

Dr Colossus
Lucky he scored today as I feel he still would've been out there trying long shots by the time the gates open on Saturday.

Tiresias
Cabaye is more of a captain on the pitch than Colo Ooops i'm sounding like Ronaldo , but I do think Colo shouldn't have the armband tbh, but then again not sure how much it matters and if it keeps Colo happy meh
Fenham Mag
Him scoring on the edge of the box from a pull back is becoming a bit of trademark.
Tiresias
He's got a fantastic long shot on him, he just hits the ball sweetly be it for shooting or for passing.
midds
Goal today, particularly the build-up, was superb. The extra time and space helped obviously but the execution was there and it was really well worked, one of the goals of our season imo.
